So far this book is mostly fan service. There’s a murder involved but the focus of the plot is some stupid “Operation Mistletoe” - the goal of which is to get Briggs and Sterling back together.

We’re also doing a lot of rehashing of the original books.

The longer it takes to get into a real serious plot, the more annoyed I’m getting.

Rich people really are the worst.

Rereading for the first time since high school because East of Eden scares me.

I don’t want to finish this. Despite the horror of what just happened, I’m sure it can and will get worse.

More rushed than If Not You but that book is a lot to live up to.

I just don’t give a fuck. This is just divergent fanfiction.

Just putting this on pause until my spotify hours reset. I'm interested enough to listen to this on audio but maybe not enough to read physically?

I can see why this has a lower rating. I’m guessing this isn’t the sort of book people were expecting after Bright Young Woman. More of an erotic thriller than a regular thriller.

I’m enjoying this audiobook so far but I did NOT realise this had such a low rating…

"I don't know how you look yourself in the mirror"

"Sharing one with your ex girlfriend helps."

...I don't usually find that sort of thing sexy but this time? hot.

I can see why people love this book so much.

Reading this is interesting as someone who works in post production bc if an actress tried to give notes on every single scene of a film that's almost locked, i too would put her in her place.

Like, you cannot imagine the amount of money making all of those changes would cost, the logistical issues related to the fact that people have to leave to go onto other jobs etc etc

I just like books about movies because I think they're funny as long as they're aware of their pretentiousness.

This has become quite silly now.

Cute so far and does tackle a very reasonable issue in their relationship but I fear the colossal nightmare that was book 3 in this series continues to give me a bitter taste in my mouth.

First impressions: I hate this man immediately which means I'm in for a good, satisfying rivals-to-lovers... IF it sticks the landing

Devout Christians and their moral superiority & lack of ability to perceive the shades of gray of the world never fail to piss me off.

Oh, I'm so tense and Dalila is pissing me off.
