ugh I love the building and the yearning between these two

...this is going to be a long read. the characters meet within the 1st 30 pages after the body guard has essentially been watching her from the shadows and they fall in love within the first 100 pages despite not knowing each other. they also have no personality at all. its a stretch to call this a fantasy. its modern day with premonitions. not connecting to the story at all

its pretty good so far but I wouldn't call this an enemies to lovers because they aren't really enemies, nor have they ever even truly hated each other. their first meeting theyre instantly attracted to each other and makeout. and even tho they reference hating each other constantly their actions state otherwise. I did skip the massive sex scene because it didn't really add to the story and it was just awkward

this is such an interesting book so far. this is the first I've seen a magic system that has colored auras and poison kisses 🤣

oh my god.. the tension between the commander and Kiara is unbelievable ugh so hot and cold. Just make out already
