I really wanted to love this book as I have read others and found them to be fantastic. However, I only read so much of this and gave up- I just wasn’t as hooked as I’d have liked to be.

Mid read-

Very wordy, and not really much being said. A lot of errors, for example at one point it says that the main character grabbed an item and ran back to her room. In the next sentence, she says that she puts the item aside and leaves Hannas room.

I’ve really tried to persevere with this. However I’ve had to stop at page 162. I’ve had a quick scan through the rest of the book and it seems the ending is as I imagined. I just can’t get into the book and enjoy the author- I understand why the main characters job is involved so much but i found it a drag to read. Also, there is no trigger warning on sexual assault and child abuse.

I’ve never resllt divulged into a book like this or a ‘self help book’. Im finding it very wordy and at times too deep or complicated for me to understand, with feelings of some irrelevance but on the other hand, some areas resonate with me and are certainly food for thought.
