My friend's reviews didnt lie about this one guys: loving it so much I can't stop reading. Just not so sure about the longevity of my tolerance for this art style

This going pretty well so far

The fourth story is about a man whose “time flies” by without him even noticing it. He goes to school, gets a job, gets married, has kids, cheats on his wife with both women and men, gets divorced, loses contact with his kids and loved ones, gets cancer due to his excessive smoking habit, then commits suicide. All the while feeling like none of his decisions were really his, This shit is making me depressed AF

Two parallel towns in different dimensions. The survivors of the town where the world is dying faster decide to escape and take refuge in their town in the mirror universe, and that’s when we see the darker side of humanity, as the initially welcoming citizens of the new town slowly start to turn jealous, and hateful, which spreads to their doppelgängers and leads the new town to the same fate as the old one.

Damn! This one hit really hard. Made me check my privilege and see things through the eyes of another person. “We’re all just cows being bread with no choice at all in the matter”

Not to mention the eerie meta commentary that reflect our current real world problems: someone always making money off the end of the world, cops being assholes, and the meat factory worker who supposedly died horribly in an accident with the factory machine, and you guessed it, the employers didnt give a flying fuck even though the guy had been working there for over 20 years. God Damn!

One issue and a half in, and I can already tell this is going to be sad and depressing as hell: the fact that apocalyptic movies are still trending despite the current apocalypse happening, people randomly dying and being time displaced, and the protagonist(of this issue) literally trying to kill herself at the end. It’s all weirdly working for me though

The art is very good so far, can’t say much about the story yet.

Pretty close to the end now, and things are starting to get a bit clearer. Finally realizing that what makes this book to enticing, besides the obvious nostalgic feel of it, is how well it mixes teenage/childhood drama, and real world problems, with its initially slow burn but well tought out Sci-Fi/time travel setting. At this point I’ve basically fallen for these girls and feel like I actually know them.

The art has definitely been improving ever so slowly. Whoever’s been drawing the giant robots has been doing an incredible job, and overall character designs have been fantastic as well, big ups to the artist.

Because the Foldings can only be detected whenever they appear, the Time Travelers use normal civilians they’ve caught up to speed to monitor and find Foldings to use to time travel. Older Tiffany is very cool, wasn’t expecting the drastic life changes but I appreciate how it all hints at how unpredictable life actually is.

I’m not even sure how many original volumes in I am at this point, but 433 pages before explaining all the time travel and sci-Fi ”whatthefuckery” that’s been happening in this book feels like way too many pages. I have to give Brian K. Vaughan his credit, I haven’t seen many writers who’ve managed to keep me this invested in a book for so long without proper world-building explanation.

A generation of rebels from the same tragic future, “Time travelers” who believe every generation has a right to live in the best possible present, even if history has to be altered to achieve it, resist the Old Timers and use “Foldings”, randomly occurring temporal tears that appear all across Spacetime as a result of the original time travel attempt, to, well, time travel and try to change their present.

In the far-too-distant, supposedly terribly tragic future, time travel is invented by the “old timers,” who decide to form an all-powerful organization to protect the current tragic timeline at all costs and strictly prevent any tampering from occurring on it.

This was just as good as the show. Even though it was my second time experiencing the story, it didn’t seem to slow my reading down at all. Maybe I’m only enjoying it this much cause it’s my first fun and lighthearted read in a long time.

Who are the good guys, who are the bad guys, what the fuck is going on? 300 plus pages deep and still no idea

I Have no idea what is going on so far and I know that is somewhat intended by the creators, but I literally couldn’t tell you what happened in the first volume. Nonetheless it pulled me in pretty fast and I’m now two volumes plus deep in the fold now. A 3.5 star read so far, bumped up to 4 for its colorful and very likeable cast of female protagonists and the nostalgic feel of it all.

This is still very good writing, an interesting and well-tied-in story, and really nice digital art. Yet for some reason it’s turning out to be a very slow read for me. Maybe it's cause I've been a little busier with school work lately.

Wait! Is it just me, or is the plan for the absolute universes character design to turn the girls into Goth Baddies, and the guys into huge freakish monstrosities. The female character designs have been so good. I mean, Just look at Zatana! even the first pics of poison ivy look absolutely insane

This was cute. I'm very torn between shipping Bruce and Selina or Bruce and our Mustle Mommy, Diana. Diana is a better person morally, but Celina has the childhood friend advantage, so like I said earlier, Torn!

Wow! This is very very good. Stjepan mad Harley such a relatable character. It’s fun getting a deep view of her life before she became Harley Quinn

So much violence and gore! That first issue was a flawless intro to this world, it's hard to believe how much story James Harren managed to fit into it. The other three issues had just as much gore and action as the first but confused me with what felt like too many incomplete plot threads jumping around.

This one is definitely heavy on the lore, way too heavy. The Dialogue sometimes makes the story hard to understand, but at least we now know the artifact in Allison’s head is a key to an entire universe, some kind of weapon of some sort. The art continues to blow my mind: the spread pages are amazing

I can already see how this could be overwhelming but I’m willing to brave the challenge, It also helps that the art here is absolutely gorgeous. The illustration quality is a bit inconsistent but it Ramps up enough to not be an issue for me, and whenever it does, it’s really something to behold.

We get a shout or a Poison Ivy, Deathstroke, Man-Bat, and some other names I don’t recognize. Bruce is really in for it, but at least he's started making other superhero friends. Maybe they'll help.
