God I love an unreliable narrator in a fit of delusion

I like reading this book as I am living “alone” for the first time. I only hope to be as conceited and out of touch.

Mixing flowery prose with a “bad trip” experience.

Lowk enfatuating book that I have been assigned to read for Gregg Sanford’s class on Plant Nutrition Management. Dan Egan writes with an incredibly captivating narrative style. A beautiful saga about boiling his relative’s urine♥️
“Some thought the magical substance could be derived from mercury or antimony or sulfur. Others sought to divine it from blood, hair, and even eggs. Brandt was a urine man.”

A stirring opening that calls me to recount my experiences on a listening point of my own, as it blends into Olsen’s own depiction. Remarks on the majesty of the Canadian Shield.
