I don’t like it. She’s too hung up on Sabran. She doesn’t know when to shut the hell up. And also Tanes story is turning out to be so sad. Her dragon is just fucking dead now and she got banished or smth? also I LOATHEEEEEE roos. He needs to die

I hate roos. I just hate him. he just sucks. And I really kind of don’t like the romance between Ead and Sabran, idk what it is but I don’t like it, it feels a bit unnatural to me idk. Idk I thought it was gonna be Ead and Tane and I was so on board with that. And then that didn’t happen.

i’m mad now. i’m actually so pissed. bc wdym Susa just died??? and now Tane is in like jail or smth and her dragon got kidnapped. And roos or whatever the hell his name is thinks that he’s so cool. I’m mad. I’m also wondering when the heck these characters are going to interact? I thought the yuri would be with Ead and Tane but I think it’s with Ead and Sabran. Idk how I feel about that. so yeah.

Okay so I haven't updated in forever, and I also haven't read that many pages, but in my defense, I've been in a depressive rut so it's not my fault. School started again and this school year I'm full time college so I never see my friends and also they suc but ANYWAYS. Book is finally starting to get to the point where I want to read it. I'm having a good time and I'm curious how the Queen will cope when Ead leaves.

i’m never gonna finish this fucking book. I wanted to have it done by the first of August but… that didn’t happen… So i’m still reading this monster. I’m never gonna finish it. I’ll never read another book again. I need to lock in guys, we need to bully me so I finish reading this book

I think that this book is lowk starting to get good?? I’m kind of wondering when these characters are going to meet each other, I feel like they have too right? Idk, but yeah, lowkey I kinda fuck with it now

I’m starting to enjoy this now, i’m gonna try to lock in and finish this book by the beginning of august, but no promises. I love Ead, I want chapters from Tane’s perspective and Loth is boring. Also I hate Sabran.

Still not recreational. I have resolved to tan less things, only major plot points and important history bc i’m tabbing to many things. It’s been going by quicker since I started all that nonsense. I’ve been reading at work, staying off my phone and I redownload Goodreads on my phone, so updates are not coming from just my laptop anymore. Okay so I started reading this like a year ago and then I gave up bc it’s SO long. So this past summer I decided that I spent 20 whole dollars on this damn book so I’m going to read it whether I like it or not. I’m struggling to get through this behemoth because I have a job now and I’m still in school. I’ve been taking notes because this is high fantasy so this book is no longer recreational. I like! not much to say, just updating progress

Looking ahead, I know that we meet Rocky in the next 2 chapters. I am very excited. One thing I really like about the book compared to the movie is all the science, I am not a physicist nor am I particularly good at physics, but I am taking physics so I have a basic understanding of astronomy and physics so it's really fun for Grace to be doing some experiment and I understand what's going on.

This is the book I read in all my other free time outside of school (as limited as it is). So far I love this book so much, especially the cover art and I think it's a really beautiful illustration. I'm reading this book on kindle using the libby app, and because of my lack of free time, it takes me longer than 2 weeks to read a book usually, so I always have to renew it, I'm hoping that I won't have to do that again

My progress on this book will be slow and sad because this is the book that I keep in my backpack for school, I just read whenever I have free time in school (we're approaching finals so maybe my progress will be better than I think). I like this book, but I've never read a book that focused solely on romance, so I'm finding myself getting a little bored because there's not too much else to focus on, just a bit slow.

Reading a chapter of this book every day with my partner because we both loved the movie and I like to read. So now I'm making him read it with me. regardless, it's really good, I have not read any of Andy Weir's other books and I have to just point out that I really love his writing style (author voice?), it's just a really fun read and I quite like Grace's inner monologue.

okay well... this was a bad place to stop reading. This book is really fucking heart-wrenching.

I hate when I get a reading slump in the middle of the best part of a book????? I was so annoyed because I had all my midterms, and the SAT, and then immediately after I had spring break, but because I was just so done with everything because of school I literally did not read at all over my break

I think that the more I read, the more I understand what's going on. I notice that I keep mixing up who is sending which letter, and it's starting to make a lot more sense now. The concept of the strands is a little weird, it severely confused me for a bit but I think that it's sort of like different realities and time travel within those different realities. I think; I could be wrong but who cares?

Everything that has happened in this book so far has been so unnecessary. Why did they go to Africa? I don't understand the motivation other than the characters being stupid as hell. I also think that the characters are being overly rude to Manon; like what is wrong with her wanting to be a hot sexy pirate lady. Manon is genuinely the best character in this godforsaken book. (She's also not dumb as rocks)
