I love the stark contrast between how a couple of simple rugged men and a woman coming from ‘civilisation’ view Svalbard and the dangers associated with this lonely life. Ok not the most amazing book I’ve read but how can I resist reading about adventure, flirting and betrayal??? Giving off very strong “Divergent” vibes.

Elothkar’s dead was a shocker

I feel so sad that the mortality rate if leverets is 50% by the 28th day of their birth! And crushed by farming!!!

The book is so gentle and sweet and wholesome until now. Not what I expected. I love bunnies and I used to have one as a companion and the main character’s journey is while not entirely relatable extremely heartwarming. It is hard to pace myself while reading it…

Quite lighthearted and a great insight for now of what it is to move away from the everyday comforts to at least for now appease to your wild husband. As I’ve been to Svalbard it is nice to hear the places I know and follow the journey.
Karl will definitely try something- that youthful Norwegian
