How was the decision to make the names vary a thing? Demeter keeps her name but Zues and Hades become Dimitri and Damon. Aries is Boreas (and is Russian.) Meg exists but not Minthe. Cerberus is Cerbie and is an ancient, dying dog. Like I don't understand any of the world building (because it doesn't exist) or the character decisions.

I hate that this is so dialogue heavy without speech descriptors. If it wasn’t for pairing the audiobook with it, I wouldn’t know the tone for most of these conversations.

There is not enough angst for the pacing to be set like this. 39% of the way through and we're both admitting we're in love and also not sure how we feel about each other? Scratch that. Collin is sure about everything. Bonnie is the one being exhaustingly weird about the entire dynamic.

I know this sounds bitchy, but I'm already annoyed with the badly conferred time jumps.

The time jumps and sudden flashbacks make this a bit difficult to follow. We go from one day to the next with just a break in sentences and it doesn't necessarily make it apparent.

This writing is bordering on far too repetitive.

That opening really has me questioning the writing of Kristoff. And every other line is basically a metaphor? I don’t know. Am I in the right head space for this?

They had never even seen each other before the kidnapping. Hell, Cash thought Jordyn was a man before he kidnapped her. So why is he getting bent out of shape about her planning a date BEFORE the kidnapping?

The insta-lust/insta-possessive is such an exhausted trope in dark romances. It doesn’t help that he insist that she call him Daddy and now he’s mad that she’s going on dates? Eww
