every couple months I pick up our guitar that no one uses and try to learn a song, then I remember I never learned any of the basics and it hurts my fingers anyway so then I give up until the next time

i love how geographically district twelve is basically like western pa and northern west virginia, and that the fenced in part of district twelve where ppl lived was likely just below where pittsburgh is, which is also where i’m from. i’ve even visited a coal mine a couple times and thought “omg i’m literally in district twelve”

Reading chronologically and I just finished Job! It’s one of my favorite books of the Bible! I think Exodus is next :) I’m like 22 days behind on my reading plan but i’m hoping I can make up some time when I get to like, Psalms and Proverbs 😭

For how much I adore this book I put off reading it quite a lot. It's because I've read the Part One before, and so this is mostly reread and therefore just a little boring while it's matched with the general steady pace of classics. I'm still enjoying it just as much as the first time, but I'm eager to get to the part I haven't yet read.

It’s so nice to see a 100% respectful guy! Josie shared her traumatic experience and his immediate response was to make sure she was comfortable around him. This should be the standard.
