"there is nothing more unaesthetic than a policeman"

I expect I'll rank these as I go, it sounds fun!

A Study in Scarlet will be hard to beat, I can already tell. Unbelievable that half of the first Sherlock Holmes story takes place in Salt Lake City 😭😭😭 Doyle's representation of Mormons was fascinating. I absolutely loved every page of this novel. What a strong start!

Ranking:
A Study in Scarlet (5 stars)

lmao let's do this!

written by one of my favorite contemporary philosophers. reading his work on enchantment during my undergrad legit changed my life, I think about it every single day. I'm grateful to have something of his in print that I can keep on my shelf and pass around to my friends!

:((((

Cleansing my frustrating CS Lewis aura with the greatest novelist ever. Toni is constantly upsetting but in the most beautifully fulfilling way; I always read her books shockingly fast!

no big deal, he just personally signed my copy or whatever 🥰

absolutely can't wait to devour this. I hope tons of people read it too.

bro he WHATTTTT??????????????????????????????????

I just bought this on a whim, but I'm actually blown away by how good the writing is... Goodman understands Gaga's artistry in a really complex and insightful way, which is sooooo satisfying to have articulated so well. Especially in 2010!!!

in anticipation of going to Chelsea in March :)

I already have a tattoo specifically for this book so I know what sort of excellence is in store 😆

ew this book is stinky I hate it already!!!!
