Mama Sorengail seeing Brennan again made me almost cry all her babies are alive but also against her. And she gave Violet the other journal which I’m sure nobody else knew about. But I can’t really figure out how Violet came to the conclusion that the venin are not targeting Samara but are going after Basgiath after all the wards fail. I’m so excited and so intrigued to find out what happens.

I knew about Xadens second signet from a spoiler but god it was more than I thought. Him and Violet need to finish their convo bout this bc I need to know if he manipulated her in any way or not.

And I’m so excited for General Melgren and Mama Sorengail to meet with the rebellion. Tea will be spilt. I think this is when she will find out her son is not dead and I can’t wait!!

Dain is slowly growing on me again. Still the great betrayer however I did miss his friendship with Violet. We gotta move on from all that shit. Dain will be a good character again I hope.

Cat and Violets challenge was so tea. But I love all the jealousy fr. I knew Xaden and Cat were engaged but damn he heard everything she was saying on the mat and she got in her head which is cheating. Xaden and Violet r peak tho.

Also I got spoiled for the next book I read think. But the venin she just fought for the luminary said Violet commands the sky, and I think he was talking about commanding dragons. She was able to talk to all the dragons during threshing I remember so maybe that was just the beginning. And Violets mom created the storm during her parapet so that Xadens shadows could catch or stabilize her so she wouldn’t die.

Cat is so insufferable. Showing up to Xaden’s room in the middle of the night wearing some sexy lingerie but it was Violet opening the door. Girl give it up already.

Taking the hoes to the rebellion in Tyrrendor? I’m so insulted. Cat can fucking die now. And Brennan bro ur losing ur coolness to me. They can’t come to Tyreendor. The riders better tear those Gryphon flies to shreds fr.

Mira and Brennen just reunited ah! And I’m so happy she is joining the revolution! And Andarna is just the funniest and sassiest except I’m so sad she might never bare a rider. But that sorengail reunion almost made me cry it was so good.

Vera’s talking about not knowing everything and how that’s giving her the confidence to learn things herself to keep up that appearance of knowledge. It’s just so oldest sibling coded (I think she’s the oldest). But as the oldest sibling in my family, this was my same thought process growing up, and still now tbh.

Picked up this book last year actually and read it here and there to pass the time but I’m determined to finish it soon. I wish Vera viewed herself with less self deprecation, however, as a girl in her early 20s, I relate to almost everything. Currently I really like her metaphors about positive and negative space as well as being a firefly. And I like that the essays r broken up with short lists.

Finished part 1. Im so glad Violet asked the other squads to join the fight it will help on the end for sure. Still really hating Violets mom tho shes such a bitch fr. But Xaden was forced to protect her after parapet in the first book and wow love that tbh, it makes a little more sense why he really hates her and yet was always helping her.

Omg Violet!!! I’m so scared! She finally completed that scary ass mission just for Nolon and Varrish to punish her and be the great betrayers!!! Never saw it coming. Do they know what she just did?? Omg poor Xaden too probably feels something wrong he only just walked away. Certainly Tairn will know something’s wrong and tell him to save her!!!!

Jack Barlow saved her!!! Can’t even believe it tbh. That’s so good tho. Aeric and Slone both have dragons and Aeric is bouta be the next best player ever I can’t wait!!

Violets professors r so goated for trying to save her against Varrish and is abuse of power i love it! And finalyyyyyyy Violet is telling Rhiannon and company about the venin like fucking finally. Xaden will def flip out bout it tho.
