There should’ve been larger trigger warnings before I started this book and I hope things get better for Auren.

Finished chapter one and it’s already a banger literally. King Midas in an orgy with prostitutes that he calls “saddles”. CRAZY WAY TO START OFF A BOOK. And the king is like hot and in his thirties…and she’s really into him. Which is usually not the way typical female prisoners feel about their royal captures. I’m intrigued already.

“What you asked me to” is so fucking insane! Why would she want her memories erased? I wanna see their ceremony and know what happened!! And Garrick is missing and so other dragons and riders and EGGS? What the actual fuck happened? I hope Garrick is somehow helping and harboring Xaden somewhere. And where is Bodhi and the rest of the squad?

Andarna is back!!! But why?? And I love Aarics signet it’s so perfect and so necessary during this book!!

Quinn’s dead. Dain is realizing the marked ones have second signets, and that Imogen is also a stone wielder. And Garrick is burning out. AND WHERE TF IS XADEN??? Imogen said she hasn’t seen him for twenty minutes so wtf is he doing??? And I’m so sad for Bodhi, Imogen, and Garrick I’m so sad and so scared.

Awe I hope she comes back!! I wonder if Violets signet is still intact tho. I miss her and poor Violet omg

Omg my hearts breaking for andarna that was the worst let down possible for her. Tairn is so fatherly too towards her it’s so sweet I love them. But poor andarna she’s not awful at all. Xaden however bro is totally fucked. Outted in front of Ridoc too is crazy. And is violets second signet speaking to dragons?

Love Ridoc and Aotrom, I could read a full book just about them and their story. AND THE IRIDS FOUND VIOLET AND THEY SPOKE TO HER!! wtf. Why did Andarna not wake up tho and why did nobody sense them if they were on the isle when they arrived? How did Andarna not immediately feel them? Plus I love that they approached Violet in their invisible form that’s so cunt!

Nooooo Trager!! He was growing on me and I liked him and Cat a lot. Also what a weird game of fate and luck. All these isles doing weird god like rituals to welcome the squad is so odd but good for the plot ig it’s entertaining to say the least. Also this is def where the Andarnas ppl live if I had to guess. Why not the isle of luck?

Oh my poor Xaden and Violet I’m so scared rn I didn’t like that all. He could’ve easily channeled from her in that moment and did the headboard instead of just not doing anything. I really didn’t like that. I’m actually terrified to continue.

Awe my poor Xaden and Sawyer!!!! I feel so bad for both of them. And Xaden and Sgeayl r fighting too like ugh my heart hurts so much. But to be fair I’d be super scared of him for sensing the venin and for locking Violet out of his mind.

No not mama Sorengail!!! But she finally did something so good so I love her for that! And the core team is alive period duh. And Xaden omggggg. My heart hurts so bad for him and he only did it so Violet would live! And I had a feeling bout Andarna for a while now and I’m so glad it’s confirmed! I need to know more about her! And period for Violet commanding the sky (aka Codagh).

Mama Sorengail seeing Brennan again made me almost cry all her babies are alive but also against her. And she gave Violet the other journal which I’m sure nobody else knew about. But I can’t really figure out how Violet came to the conclusion that the venin are not targeting Samara but are going after Basgiath after all the wards fail. I’m so excited and so intrigued to find out what happens.

I knew about Xadens second signet from a spoiler but god it was more than I thought. Him and Violet need to finish their convo bout this bc I need to know if he manipulated her in any way or not.

And I’m so excited for General Melgren and Mama Sorengail to meet with the rebellion. Tea will be spilt. I think this is when she will find out her son is not dead and I can’t wait!!

Dain is slowly growing on me again. Still the great betrayer however I did miss his friendship with Violet. We gotta move on from all that shit. Dain will be a good character again I hope.
