This is a conversation I’ve been waiting to get. We finally get to see a little bit into what orphan is. And also the revelation that the were multiple clones of Valka, and not only that, but that there were children of her and Adrian as well. What that could possibly mean for the future I have no idea.

The conversation with here soonchanged was very enlightening. But it makes me uneasy to learn that there is another figure in the empire that could be considered the emperors equal, without any restraints, and using forbidden technology. All while preaching a heretical religion which they themselves do not believe in, likely thinking themselves above. And not knowing how close their actions have brought humanity end

Chapter 66- coren n farwen staying at the northern rebel base is the most idiotic thing in this book. They are rebels against a force of 40,000 there is no reason for them to stay n fight. They should all scatter to the winds and lay low. Before even that they should not even still be at that base! They were meant to leave weeks ago regardless of their excuses.

Lorian can be as dramatic as hadrian at times 😂 I hope he ends this story happy

I wonder how much of the chantry’s true face william knew of. Did he know it all or were these darkest secrets hidden from even him? Besides that, the hypocrisy of the chantry is absolutely disgusting.

In all this was an interesting way to show the events that had happened on the demiurge. I wonder how crippled all these events have left the ship, if even at all. I feel that a ship this advances must have some means of repairing itself. Also I wish Cassandra would stop being so stubborn n be healed. Wjth the challenges that are bound to come, it is no time to be stubborn.

Chapter 43- everytime we hear of or relive “the fall” its such a passion filled and tragic situation. Seeing the last stand of these dragon keepers against the endless tide of orcs makes me teary eyed. The rage and tragedy mix to become a very potent concoction

Chapter 24- I love moments like this. It feels overdue after all that they have been through in war and ruin. But all together again around the fire before they go to war is exactly what they needed.

I really admire the cold pragmatism of these celcein. They live to serve and fight and simply respect strength above all. They even gained some measure of respect for the other non human species amount Hads group. They way they were able to communicate without words to interrogate the assassin was really dope.

I really wish that we had gotten more time with the allied celcin and their perspective about everything. Perhaps we will further in this book. But even still I cant help but feel that it was a missed opportunity not to try and get more celcin on Hadrians side after all this time.

Such a simple but cool weapon, this albedo. Really puts into perspective how powerful these weapons must be if this was the least of them. But also makes me wonder in which way would this help destroy a Watcher.

I highly doubt Hadrian will be able to fully eliminate Sagara, it seems too impossible of a feat. However I am glad for this because he is truly a fascinating character in this universe.

The set up so far had been very interesting. The way the demiurge is described makes it sound so fascinating yet terrible. I wonder what will become of it when this is done.

So excited to read this last entry in this series. Getting some hadrian and his daughter to begin with is a good a start as any. He says that cassandra never learns the same power he has but I hope that isn’t completely true.

Chapter 12- I loved getting a Eltoar pov. Seeing his perspective makes me wonder where this story will end for him. In a kind of atonement or will he continue walking down his doomed path.

Chapter 3: im so excited to jump back into this series! Even in just these beginning chapters Cahill does an excellent job at pulling at your heartstrings after were the last book left things. One thing he has done exceptionally in this series is build the relationships between these characters to the point where they feel real.

This is crazyyy. I did not expect this other sargara to be a clone of young hadrian. The audacity of it is insane. Hadrian really does need to kill sagara.

That was beautiful. I expected for their make up to be something like this, after all Cassandra is her mothers daughter.

Hadrians a dick 😂. I woulda loved go see hadrian become emperor, see him keep moving up in the galaxy. But i knew he did not pursue that path, as much as i wish he did.

This is a meeting long in the making. We will finally get some answers here and i feel we all ready have. Hadrian is being very dense at the moment lol. Its clear to see the connection to christian beliefs in the goings on at the moment. Or perhaps in context of the story its the other way around. That these beings have truth to the religions of old.

OMG I was not expecting this. Was a violent way to die smh. When Hadrian was forshadowing this I was expecting something later on, near the end of the book. Definitely now now. Once he returns, however he does, I think this will harden him to the empire. I hope he does a coup n takes over. Destroy the chantry c become emperor, save humanity.

Im liking the dynamic between wax and wayne. Wax is giving me batman vibes haha. And is Sazed harmony? Is that what he became after inheriting both the powers? 🤔 Is he really speaking to wax?

So so so good to have Lorian and Hadrian back together! And then introducing Cassandra to the mix made me tear up. So good 😭

This meeting will be interesting. Hopefully humanity will be able to come to some sort of agreement or consensus on how to deal with the Celcin and watcher threat. Also i liked the interaction of Hadrian and Cassandra talking about Selene 😂

I wasn’t expecting that reunion. It was nice enough. Im not excited about the hadrian returning to forum. Its only gonna bring trouble.

HOLY SHIT! The slow start was worth it if it meant it all lead to this moment! Incredible! I wonder if other Cielcin will latch on to Marlows cause like the captain has. Will it last?
