The reveal of the “huntsmen” was dope! Hearing of a ship that we saw many books ago finally come into operation. But then only to find out it would be destroyed in the forst seconds of the battle. I suppose that goes to show that for all the efforts of man the end still comes all the same. It left quite the dour note in my mouth smh. Almost tragic. Well I suppose it is.

Wow just wow. This has been another conversation in long coming. It is not disappointing. But it shocks me that the emperor only suspected the chanceries involvement with demons and such. To think he does not even know the limit of their hypocrisy is scary and shocking. By that same line of reasoning, I wonder if he knows that they’re embedded on earth itself?

This is a conversation I’ve been waiting to get. We finally get to see a little bit into what orphan is. And also the revelation that the were multiple clones of Valka, and not only that, but that there were children of her and Adrian as well. What that could possibly mean for the future I have no idea.

The conversation with here soonchanged was very enlightening. But it makes me uneasy to learn that there is another figure in the empire that could be considered the emperors equal, without any restraints, and using forbidden technology. All while preaching a heretical religion which they themselves do not believe in, likely thinking themselves above. And not knowing how close their actions have brought humanity end

I wonder how much of the chantry’s true face william knew of. Did he know it all or were these darkest secrets hidden from even him? Besides that, the hypocrisy of the chantry is absolutely disgusting.

In all this was an interesting way to show the events that had happened on the demiurge. I wonder how crippled all these events have left the ship, if even at all. I feel that a ship this advances must have some means of repairing itself. Also I wish Cassandra would stop being so stubborn n be healed. Wjth the challenges that are bound to come, it is no time to be stubborn.

I really admire the cold pragmatism of these celcein. They live to serve and fight and simply respect strength above all. They even gained some measure of respect for the other non human species amount Hads group. They way they were able to communicate without words to interrogate the assassin was really dope.

I really wish that we had gotten more time with the allied celcin and their perspective about everything. Perhaps we will further in this book. But even still I cant help but feel that it was a missed opportunity not to try and get more celcin on Hadrians side after all this time.

Such a simple but cool weapon, this albedo. Really puts into perspective how powerful these weapons must be if this was the least of them. But also makes me wonder in which way would this help destroy a Watcher.
