Damn, really gruesome but it was good. I feel like we’re finally about to be through the introduction and into the main story, and maybe the mf will finally ride a dragon like damn. But the relationships were rly interesting, especially between Leonid and Jai. But we’ve still got about 400 pages left of actual plot so I’m looking forward to it 🫡

Pretty good so far, gotten better. Dragged in the start but gotten progressively more interesting, although I feel like not a lot has happened. A bit too much flashbacks for me, currently debating a 3.5 vs a 4 but idk, maybe it’ll pick up more.

I will say, still interesting, but like come on. Can we get a move on? I feel like it’s dragging at this point, and the coolest thing Jai does is when he knows how to speak well. Like I love when he’s clever but outside of that he keeps getting stuck. Also, it’s called dragon rider, where’s bro’s dragon already???

Very interesting, not what I expected, I thought the villain would be more explicit but he’s rly not that bad so far. The origin was rly cool and I’m excited for where it could go

I do agree with it starting out slow, but I’m still interested in all of the characters. Particularly in the Dansk princess, but like come on, let mf Jai ride a dragon already, it’s called Dragon Rider! I do like Jai tho, he’s cool

Ooh the soulbound stuff is rly cool, I love familiars. And I’m happy there’s Magic, and it’s nice that his brothers actually care about him. I feel like they’re both gonna die tho but we’ll see.

I’m interested in how this is going to go. Leonid and Jai’s relationship is also interesting and very complicated, and I’m looking forward to knowing all of the characters better

Breeze is back, yay. One of them being a Kandra is pretty cool, sad since that means one of the crew is dead tho. I bet it’s Ham. Also, the Sazed Marsh stuff is still sick as hell

The Watcher is very interesting, also I’m curious about what’s gonna happen with Marsh and Sazed

Just lovely so far, the rapport between all the characters is great. I will say in comparison to the others I do find Elend kind of bland, but I’m excited for his development. I’m also looking forward to Spook becoming all cool and shit.

I’m already enjoying being back in this world again, I love the magic system and fights, and the new characters like the Watcher seem very interesting

Well, shocker the Chuluu Korikh didn’t work, now they’re unleashed an evil god on the world. Also called that Jiang was the Gatekeeper. Another annoying thing is Jiang and the Woman just keep saying don’t call the gods, but the alternative is let Nolan die. Like, obv we can’t do that either, any other fucking ideas?!!?!?!

Damn. Yeah nah the Federation can all die. Idk if Rin teaming up with Altan will be for the best, but after the slaughter of Golyn Niis idk what else could be worse. At least Kitay’s alive, poor Venus tho. Jesus this shit is dark but I am so curious as to where it’s gonna go

Ye this book grim dark for sure. This whole section was crazy. The chimei was wild, Nezha’s fucking gone again, Altan’s basically evil, everything sucks and Rin has nobody. I do not see this book having a happy ending. It’s just annoying bc the Woman (who I think is old Speer Queen) says not to go to the Phoenix but Rin has no other options, they’re gonna lose this war. Idk, idk what I’d do as her honestly.

Damn a lot’s happened. Altan’s assault was sick but then they immediately got tricked. This book is so realistic, the aftermath of the bombs was making me sick. It’s rly good but also just disturbing bc stuff like this actually happens. Rin also has to lock in like, do sum girl. But hey Nezha’s back and can walk! Love interest lfg!!! I’m excited for the rest of the book but worried about the grape soon.

It’s picking up fs, and I love how capable Charlie’s becoming. This and the beginning are prbly my favorite parts, it definitely dragged in the middle but I think it’s highlights and humor and overall idea more than make up for its low parts.

I will say it’s picking up now. Charlie’s actually doing smart shit and what we’re learning is more interesting than just expositing about how the villains work. And this chapter ended with an explosion ooh!

I was not expecting Nezha to be alive, that was wild. Also Jiang is 100% the Gatekeeper. And Altan’s rly cool I like him a lot. I figured she’d join the Cike and I honestly like their whole vibe, I can’t rly fault the other divisions for not liking them tho they’re kind of insane. But I enjoy this whole Bizarre Children found family vibe happening, hopefully they don’t all just die lol.

Yo so much happened. Rin lowkey pissing me off, wartime what, bonding with Nezha, then HE FUCKING DIES! But Jiang finally did some cool shit which was awesome. I’ll say I was looking forward to more Rin and Nezha teamwork like wtf. But holy shit that was intense stuff, I love fire powers tho honestly.

Cool lore with the Trifecta, I’m excited to meet the Gatekeeper. Also we finally seeing supernatural shit from Jiang!

Jiang is fun, I like how it’s focusing on the training arc now. And the expositing through him telling the history is rly good, I’m not bored at all during it. Great writing I rly just wanna keep reading honestly

Altan appearance was badass, I’m looking forward to him. I love the mix of modern speech in old times it’s fun. Also, damn FUCK Jun fr, I thought he was gonna be nice for a sec but he rly did not give a shit. How’s she gonna train now like damn.

Really good exposition. I’m learning about the academy and the lore without getting bored, and I like Kitay, good and smart comedic relief

Still entertaining, but I feel like it’s still expositing even at this point and we’re over halfway through. Humorous, but getting tired of just learning more and more and Charlie just being confused. His main personality is good person, business reporter, and generally confused about the whole villain business. You’d think he’d be less confused by now honestly.

Pretty enjoyable, not as slow as last sections. The dwarves finally starting to appreciate Bilbo and damn yeah Bilbo messed up those spiders!
