Proud of myself for going this far for a book I dislike.

I’m tryna finish this book this time so I’d have a more informed (justified, truly) opinion.

I freaking called it. The omen’s strength was water. Swimming should have been the first this you considered. This is just… 😭

Idk, I’m having a hard time finishing this. I liked the beginning and the suspense that led to Sybil’s escape was nice, but I felt it slowly deteriorated from there. The challenges each time they faced an omen remained the same, and it was also the same easy victory that bored me.

My only complaint is… really, Rodrick? Myndacious? Her name is Sybil and you’re telling me his name is Rodrick Myndacious? 😭

Liking the writing so far, and the plot is intriguing.

Two things so far:
1. Roman being a nepobaby just irks me idk.
2. Enva’s enlisting musicians to fight for her in a bloody war… sounds like a losing battle already.
