We get it, you hate each other. We don’t need to be reminded every paragraph.

I’m tryna finish this book this time so I’d have a more informed (justified, truly) opinion.

22 pages in and I still don’t get why the two orders hate each other so much. If healing Osric were against everything she stood for, why was this only worth 20M? Does it mean her principles only amount to that much? And if she’s doing it just bc Xanthe told her to, why does the book not Xanthe’s significance to the MC? Really, my problem is why should I care?

God, I want to love this book because it has all the vibes I’m looking for—but why does it read like a fanfic? :( I’m already on page 7, and all I know is that Osric is a prick. There’s too much (unnecessary) dialogue and not enough exposition. :(
