So over-all thoughts so far…
It’s good…but it doesn’t have the same fluid, effortless momentum of Golden Son. Nor the raw emotional immediacy of the first book. I feel like we’ve lost Darrow’s voice a little bit.

Also though…I feel like the author is slightly validating a very toxic idea about God. She’s kinda letting the idea that if you pray to God when things are tough, you will get visible, material/emotional relief…but that’s not how it works. At all.
