Okayyyyy so not a before bed book

I spent the last month mentally preparing for this book, and I fear I was not mentally prepared for this book. 😞

Picking up where I had DNF’d (but this time on audio). I think I would’ve liked this more if I read it before Great Big Beautiful Life.

Okay I just had to come on here to say this is immediately giving me five star feelings. I’m going to take my time with this one and I fear it is going to deliver everything I was hoping. 🤓

Are 733 pages really necessary? 🫠

I’m not connecting to this like I had hoped to.

This is taking me so long to read. I’m not sure I care about these characters 😬

(Plus the 200 pages of appendices and exhibits, so I really only have 120 pages left.)

Page 90 is comedy gold. It’s such a good example of humanity’s knack for obsessing over the most inconsequential things in chaos. Every single footnote is perfectly placed and just elevates the absurdity of the whole scene(s).

Starting a fifth book when I haven’t finished the other four feels like the right move.

This one’s for you Maggie. Can I say Godspeed to myself?

Godspeed.
