The book is better than the movie.

So Bella attacked Shan and she tried to defend herself it became a whole drama Joey attacked Cormac and the police was called. Wtv wtv johnnys father helps. The writing is boring it’s an easy book to skim and get the content so that’s nice. It’s ac interesting right now with the bully drama and the friends relationships is sweet but why the hell are they always so horny like wrap it up yall. They are in hs.

It was cute seeing Maxon, America, Marlee, and Carter their happy ever after plus them having healthy relationships was a GREEN FLAG compared to Maxon's fathers relationship.

We also got to see how people saw how Maxon was so in love with America. In her books we could tell Maxon liked her but in Marlee's POV we could see that Maxon was IN LOVE with America. Putting his hands behind his back so he would not get tempted to touch America, or even after their engagement Maxon would look at America determining his choice based on her happiness.

Marlee and Carter were the first people that were cast less. King Maxon gave them the ability to pick any occupation they wanted, Carter choosing to serve Maxon (grounds keeping) and Marlee deciding to be a lady in waiting for America. This was a really novela tbh. Romantic just falling in love a little too quick, sweet, had America and Maxon, sweet and healthy relationship.

Not them calling each other fiance because they are going to get married soon ahhhh they are cute and HEALTHY unlike Amberly and Clarkson or wtv Maxon's father's name was. I am guessing Carter and Marlee got married they refer to each other was wife and husband, Carter giving Marlee hand massages before sleeping at night to ease the pain.

Only thing I do not understand is why these characters fall in love so quickly. Carter is funny I see why Marlee fell in love with him but I do not get why these characters fall in love in 2 pages. Maxon really is a good man, he helped Marlee and Carter to stay in the castle and not die. Both Marlee and Carter pretend to be workers in the castle.

I like how it goes from past (Carter and Marlee falling in love) and present to them being punished because they were caught

It just shows how Carter and Marlee start falling in love. He gave her flowers and checked up on her after the fall (which wasn’t that serious it was just a bruise on the hip)

So far so good. Just about Marlee and Carter how they meet. (Marlee fell from the stairs and Carter carried her to the nurses office for “fun”) she was bored and knew Maxon liked America.

Horrible love storiy if you can even call it one! I hated it he was looking for a woman to control not love and respect, it was only Clarkson's way that it which is NOT right. Household's should be 50/50 not 100/0. I am shocked Maxon came out to be as sweet as he did from this marriage. Amberly was wayyy to in love with Clarkson, while Clarkson only wanted to control her and ensure she would do anything he asked.

Soooo the king gave them a test with hair? She cut her hair just because he said so. He basically wanted someone who would do anything and everything he demands or asks for. This man is an asshole, he does not want a wife he wants a maid someone who will do anything. He worried more about the Amberly's cast than he did the fact that they might not have a kid. He literally treats her as an object.

Damn ok so Queen Abby was also a bitch, the drunk was a bitch. What the heck? Why did the Queen slap Amberly just because she smiled??? What the... and it was hard enough to see the hand print. The Queen should LEAVE can't be abusive toward random. WHY does Amberly not have a backbone?? Why is she not standing up for herself, Clarkson is an asshole power hungry man while the queen was abusive.

So Clarkson’s parents were in love. But something happened causing them to stop. Clarkson and Amberly do have a good relationship right now however it does get worse as we know since Clarkson does cheat with her later.

Yeh so it seems like Clarkson's behaviour is just a result of his parents marriage being such a train wreak. The aggression is the result from a drunk mother and a father that would scream, Clarkson hated his parents. Enough to send his parents away after he would become king.

Ew the queen is very infatuated with him. She willingly said that when she used to practice cursive with both their names. But it seems Clarkson does like the Queen. And that Clarkson came from an unhappy marriage so that was sad his mom was an alcoholic and father wasn’t present. Clarkson liked how the girl wasn’t very opinionated tbh. He said her hair was too long and she cut it…

I hate the king bro he’s so annoying and elitist

Ok done with everything... it was interesting to see the POV of Aspen and Maxon. Interesting to see how they thought of America and went through their own problems. It was good but I hate how the plot was always so basic, the problems were never complicated they were simple enough that to be resolved in 3 chapters or a few pages instead of actually be an interesting problem.

So far it’s aspens POV it’s pretty good ie seeing that he almost died when there was a rebellion attack which America didn’t know and we didn’t know. It’s pretty good to see his POV and tbh I do like him as a character. Doing the best he can with what he’s given.

As for Aspen I just remembered. Americas father told Aspen that America would actually fit in and be a good princess but I just remembered that at some point Aspen told America she was not ruthless enough to be a princess soooo ughhh.

Ended well go check selection series for opinion tbh it was fine 3.5 stars in my opinion but will round up. Interesting to see how America perceived Maxon as confident but in his novela he was not confident. He was in fact nervous but always did have a soft spot for America it was sweet.

It ended with Maxons POV from when Maxon and America went on their first walk and she kicked him. Lol he ended with novela by saying he’d send her home but stopped last minutes admiring how America stood up for herself.

It’s all based on Maxons POV (from the selection when he first met America and before the selection started interesting to see how the family dynamic was so bad). Interesting part of the book was seeing him grow esp with the cutting of girls. In Americas book we see Maxon as confident and well experienced but in Maxons POV we see he’s not that confident and is quite caring.
