There's something interesting about this book that I can't quite comprehend...

It's disgusting, truly, this middle-aged man is trying to justify his intimacy with a "nymphet", in which that term already is despicable...
but what blurs my disgust and interest for this book is the explanation and the philosophy of the untrustworthy Humbert Humbert, meditated and calculated, he makes up every excuse.. it works.

I'm not gonna lie this book is so boring, the child abuse is insane, but Pelzer writes in a weird point of view, where he takes the abuse from a present (front POV) to a past perspective, all while using vocabulary that at all isn't advanced, but things that a child his age (at the account of the abuse) would not know or use.

The librarians and my teacher nervously laughed when I checked out this book. Four pages in, and I see why haha

Chapter 7 blows the confrontation into the wide open!!! Also R.I.P. you know who... I wonder where this could lead. Their death can not be good for anybody involved. Also, Daisy, who do you love?

Part II of the book is very vividly bleak. The descriptions of Miller's descent into becoming merely a mechanical killing machine and the way the buffalo no longer resembles anything is very disturbing. The manic killings of Miller has gotten them trapped in a snowstorm in which Charley Hoge has decided he's going to be useless for the entirety of the winter. it's perturbing to imagine. And Schneider, R.I.P. Wow.

Thoughtful language particularly vivid in describing the bloodlust, desensitization, disagreements the men are facing. They are all losing themself in these hunts, and their irrationality starts to reflect that.
