Time to mentally destroy myself by reading my own thoughts and experiences on paper.

Hopefully a start to me getting out of a reading slump, this one caught my attention

Been dragging this out for so long, hopefully I finish it by the end of the week~

In a bit of a reading slump -but enjoying this nonetheless.

But a life without art, without wonder, without beautiful things—she would go mad. She has gone mad. What she needs are stories. Stories are a way to preserve one's self. To be remem-bered. And to forget.
Stories come in so many forms: in charcoal, and in song, in paintings, poems, films. And books. Books, she has found, are a way to live a thousand lives or to find strength in a very long one.

I finished Alchemised last nitght I can’t bring myself to write a review or even realize I’ve finished it because of how big of a toll it took on me. I think I cried myself to sleep last night at what’s supposed to be a happy ending. I genuinely think this book is a masterpiece

I can say out loud I HATE EVERYONE IN THIS BOOK SO MUCH, EVERYONE DID MY GIRL DIRTY AND I can’t even cry about it I’m so angry hello???

Starting part two - so far I’ve passed the two most talked about subject - one being SA - and unlike what people claim of romanticising the subject this is quite the contrary and shows the feelings of during, after and even the Stockholm sindrome signs and portrays the agony of someone going through it. Tough read, but it’s FAR from romanticising any of it.

Trigger warning and a spoiler - as much as I want to condemn the actions of Ferron in killing that family, and as unjustifiable as it is - it was either the mass torture the society were about to perform or the quick painless death he had offered them, which was his plan and I believe Helena was the reason he did it. Then again this is just the tip of the iceberg. Still a chance for DNF at some point

I think the fact that I understood Chaol for the past 3 books bit me in the ass in this one. What a prick and I think I could go on for hours on what a hypocritical ass this man’s become

I don’t even know what to say about this book aside from - I just read through 200 pages in a day and I do not plan to stop

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about Sam. They didn’t focus so much on that storyline in TOG but this one hit me in the gut, man.
