Tell me the author is into misogyny and racism without telling me!

Only black character I’ve seen so far is a black woman described as man like — six feet tall, wearing flats unlike the pretty white female characters and doesn’t wear makeup.

Women throughout are just objects everyone wants to sleep with?

Give me a break.

This isn’t great or even good so far. I’m a black woman and while I get some of the references it’s so hastily thrown together that it feels lacking in something — maybe authenticity?
The narrator keeps troublingly referencing another black character according to her smells — and not in a good way. Maybe it’s purposeful but this book does nothing to advance representation of black people positively.
