Schema= any pattern of relationships amongst data stored in memory. Any set of nodes and links between them that can be retrieved as a single unit. Eg bar = knowledge of properties of a bar and what distinguishes it from a tavern

The basis of this statement is that we use preconceptions to make sense of wide body of information. Like a mental shortcut (heuristics)

Not like meta-perception where you try to perceive how other people perceive you. More like understanding how you perceive, what affects it, the consequences and what you can do about it. So far, recognising that it is affected, is the first step.
