Description of a woman by a male ghost from a different time:
“The new woman is of average height…has short brown hair that rumple like a working man. She wears pants like they all do these days…She does not wear much makeup, but she’s attractive enough as far as such women go. She must be in her 40s, younger women rarely move with such casual apathetic confidence or observe random detail so keenly…”

Fantastic writing. I don’t want it to end. I haven’t yet met that vengeful ghost but her descriptions given by another scare me already. Are they all trapped in the house, I wonder? By their own desires, guilt, unfinished business? Or by a demonic object? Oooo questions abound. I love that it’s a mystery at the same time
