Michael and Francesca kissed. Which freaked her out and made her run off to Scotland. Michael tried to erase his memory of Kissinger her with drinking and going to a brothel. While he was out he ran into Colin Bridgerton. Who tells him about how he got engaged and is planning to wed soon.

He convinces Michael to go to Scotland and “tell Francesca”. Which we all know is his plan to kinda push them together

Emi and Chiho meet and she warns her to stay away from Maou because he is dangerous. Then the restaurant that they all are in collapsed and leave the crew buried in a pile of rubble.

I love that when the situation became deadly the girls became friend ish. Also Maou has done of his magic back and he comes through the rubble to save the girls and the other patrons of the restaurant from the rubble.

I am deeply enjoying this book so much as a Colin Jost fan and it made my long car ride go by faster

Lady lady is found dead due to a box of poison chocolates. She had seemed off all night and it was noticed by Misty (our MC). Now they are all getting interviewed by detectives. Also Criminal Minds was mentioned and I love that 🤏🏻

Francesca’s brother Colin made a suggestion to Michael for him to marry her. After he saw him get defensive over another older man insult her.

Michael acted like he wouldn’t like to do that. Which is a total lie since he is head over heels in love with her. I understand why he doesn’t be it would seem like he is taking over his cousins life. But he is clearly jealous of the attention she is getting.

Troy has met Harris family and come out to his mom. They are definitely dating at this point. Wiebe told Troy that they will support him posting the sexual assault support graphics even if the commissioner doesn’t like it. But the commissioner doesn’t like the Centar’s or Ilya so either way oh well.

I’m pretty sure Troy and Harris are basically dating but haven’t confirmed it with each other. And Troy hasn’t come out yet.

We are down the third and final period Miyamori still has no goals while the other team I think has over 30. Their lines are tired and no longer switching. Rou is determined to get on goal at least for some redemption on Miyamori’s name. Dohi is freaking out while their captain is feeling doomed. On top of that the high school coach is watching and has an eye on Rou.

Rou is bringing some figure skating moves into the hockey game and getting pissed when he is getting the rules wrong.

We also get backstory about the schools and why they are kinda rivals. Because the main characters school is closing and all their star players moved to the other team.

Michael after being a dick to Francesca about all the flowers she got from possible suitors. Now he has to be the one they talk to in order to court her. Since he is the holder of one of her dowry. Since apparently he is the closest male relative she has besides her brother.

Michael is just becoming more pissed with each man and how they are talking about Francesca. And my poor girl is getting whiplash still.

Ahhhhh Troy and Harris being on a date a Fabian’s show. Troy coming out and apologizing to Ryan is so full circle and sweet. I am so happy that he is doing it and taking accountability. We love you Troy!!!

Ahhhh we are gonna get to interact between Fabian + Ryan and Troy+ Harris at the concert. We also got to see some Hollanov flirting from Troy’s perspective with a little bit of Hayden’s side remarks.

It’s so funny that we know what’s going on with them but nobody besides Hayden knows. I also love that all the other book characters are appearing in this one.

I keep forgetting that these hockey players are supposed to be for a junior hockey league. Like middle school/ early high school age. The only character who looks that age is Dohi. Who automatically became my fave even though he is winy. I find him funny as fuck.

Ooo now we are getting spicy scenes between Troy and Harris. Good job boys you are actually being honest with each other. You confessed he is gay and Harris is admitting about his heart stuff. GOD THEY ARE SO CUTE

Rou has met the Genma brothers who play hockey for the Oinokami high school. They might try to recruit Rou for the hockey team to try and get a win for their team.

I know it says in the description that Rou mom died but it hasn’t said it in the book. Is that why he went crazy and threw a fit after winning the competition? Is it because his mom wasn’t there? I’m just confused about it.

Ohhh this was the plane scene I had heard about. I love that they mentioned Ilya was franticly texting someone. We know that is Shane but nobody else knows that

Everyone for the series has basically made an appearance besides Shane, Ryan and Fabian. Like they have been talked about and Fabian’s music was playing in Harris car at one point but the haven’t been interacting in the story like everyone else. I hope they do.

Also Ilya and Troy coming out to each other!!! I love that they are becoming besties.

ILYA BODY SLAMMING KENT AS HE IS INSULTING TROY AND ABOUT TO CALL HIM A SLUR!! As he fucking should!! We love Tror and Ilyas budding friendship!!!

Emi has been keeping tabs on Maou 😈 and Ashiya. While talking to Maou and getting into a fight on the streets of Japan they were shot at by some demon force that is threatening to kill both of them. Now in a weird way the three are mutuals or alliances. At least until they find out who is hunting them and stalking them.

Maou is on some kinda date with his coworker Chi-Chan who is a teenager btw😬

It’s still awkward with Troy being new to the teams. So the beginning is a bit cringy. I know it’s will get better and he will warm up. Also don’t be a dick to Harris

All the women at Violet Bridgerton’s birthday party keep asking Francesca about if she will be getting remarried. This seems to be a hot topic since Francesca stopped wearing mourning colors.

Michael also seems to be a hot topic of conversation since he is the new earl and unmarried. Which frankly pisses Francesca off that everyone she talks to keeps bringing him up to her like almost using her to get to him.

Former Devil king Sando Maou and his demon general Shiro Ashiya went through a portal to Tokyo to escape a hero. Now they don’t have enough magical powers to get back to their realm and have been banished to Earth. On top of that they both had to get part time jobs to pay rent.
While on his way to work Sando runs into a woman and offers her his umbrella. That woman is our hero who is trying to kill him.

John and Michaels moms are back in London living at the estate with Francesca and Michael. So they are able to take care of him during his Malaria flair ups. Francesca is also able to go live back at the estate now because the mothers are back and can supervise them so people don’t think they are having an affair. Even though Francesca’s husband is dead and it’s not really an affair but whatever.

Poor Troy. Literally having his life fall apart by getting traded to the Centaurs and not knowing anyone. To feeling the ick that a man he had been friends with on the Toronto team to be a rapist. Which I could have told you from hearing about Dallas Kent in book 3. To now also having the man you were secretly dating dump you and then post about his engagement to another man a few months later.

Francesca has been taking care of Michael while he is getting over malaria. However with all the time she is going over to his house her mother and sisters think she is having an affair with Michael. This disturbs her since that is her dead husband’s cousin which in a way makes him her cousin through marriage. Which makes Michael sad that she thinks it’s gross when he still yearns for her.

Francesca’s sisters made a fuss talking about Michael’s reputation when he was late to a dinner that her mother invited him too. She is going to check on him. What could he possibly be up to?
