So much mystery! So many names I haven’t memorized who’s who!!

Truthfully, I don’t know how I’m reading this. I don’t understand what’s going on. The only thing that has really stuck to me so far was the passage saying that from nonsense comes meaning. But regardless, there’s a lot of mystery to be on blanketed soon, I think.

I’m trying out this book again for the third time. Perhaps it’s the audiobook narrator, I can’t find myself getting past the first few chapters!!

Coriolanus, a product of propaganda, unaware that the hunger games IS the continuation of the nationwide war.

“He was trapped like a bird”

We’re first presented with the binary songbird and snake, eluded by the forced relationship between Coriolanus & Lucy Gray, when in fact he is much as the song bird as she is. Even as a Capitol born boy, he is not excluded from the control of the Capitol’s agenda. This line really redefines who is the songbird and snake, respectively everyone else vs the Capitol’s government.

I’m so fascinated by others’ reaction to this supposed “love” between Coriolanus and Lucy Gray. I think that it’s obvious that it’s a deeper allegory of how the themes of “control,” “dominance,” and “power” have been deeply embedded, deeply instilled in the capitol and its people.

So I’m reading via digital and an audiobook, which is read by Santino Fontana, an interesting intertextuality! Fontana, who voiced Hans, the surprising, charming, and morally gray villain of “Frozen.” I think his voice is perfect for reading this novel!!
