I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is definitely NOT a quick read for me. I’m only about halfway through, and I think part of that is because this book is just… heavy. But the writing? AMAZING. The way she tells her story… I must say I definitely recommend reading this one. ❤️📚

I reread Sing Me to Sleep before starting Drown Me with Dreams because I needed a refresher on everything that happened in book one. I’m about 27% into book two now, and so far, it is STILL GOOD. I’m completely locked in and really enjoying being back in this world with these characters. I’m excited to see where the story goes, but no spoilers please! 👀📚
