Soft dnf at 39%. Idk if the ennui has got its hooks in me or what but I am STRUGGLING. I find it hard to read books where one MC fights it so hard. If someone rejected me as often as Kieran rejects Jordy I would have a complex, a therapist, and a strong desire to go out and find a man who cares. Jordy has god tier self esteem to get through this shit but I don’t have the bandwidth right now.

Soft dnf at 70%. I know that’s a hell of a long way in and the writing is fine but the borderline TSTL decisions of the one MC are gonna come back to bite them all in a big way and I’m trying not to victim blame. I gotta come back when my sympathy meter refills or I’m gonna have hate in my heart.

Soft dnf at 39%. I am obviously in some kind of mood because nothing is hitting right now.

A note from me to me:

Literally no one is challenging you to finish every book you start. The grand total of people who care is zero. There is no prize. Yes, you are a fast reader. No, it does not cost you a lot of time to finish books. But you still do not HAVE to.

Now get a little snack, get through the decision paralysis of picking a new book, and start. And if that book is bad or boring... you know what to do.
