Ok, it is slow, but it does give a lot more background on the whole Ogier/Waygates/Steading business and an inkling of the actual importance of the Song. This was something I did struggle getting my head around watching the Amazon series. Also, while it does move in the same direction, the story does take a significantly different path than the one portrayed in the series.

I know it's a 15 book series, but this is sooo fucking SLOW!
