So far: 2 stars. I hope it picks up. It’s absolutely dragging. I’m not seeing any connection and I absolutely do not understand the characters. I’m honestly at the point where I’ve started it and I feel the need to finish it but I’m barely hanging on. I thought this book was more about mystery? I’m reading more about Y2K and economic collapse. We are jumping characters and not bringing anything together

This book is DARK and gruesome. Just reading the synopsis, I wasn’t prepared for HOW DARK it was about to get. Not just twisty and has unexpected turns- it’s truly CHILLING. I personally enjoy true crime shows and podcasts so for me it was just adjusting what I expected, however, I recommended it for book club this month and definitely feel like I should’ve warned the others.

Started relatively slow. It was a lot for me to piece together. Now you kept getting fed little clues here and there…. Only for the mystery plot to thicken and it throws you for a major loop. It’s a very lightheaded murder mystery so far

I hate when I look up and it’s way too late for me to keep reading. I’ve flown through chapters this evening and cannot get enough. Every time I think the book starts to slow down, something else happens and pulls me back in to flip through pages all over again.
