My life is stressful, I have books I’m reading for work and other books that I’m not reading as quickly as I would like. A read now ARC comes up, I should pass. I just can’t pass this, it looks like everything I need right now. True pre sleep escapism. 🤞🤞🤞

I’m enjoying it but not sure I agree with the start describing this as a story being told to two 6 year old girls. At one point there is talk of debauchery and drink and drug use. Not sure if that’s appropriate,I’m hoping the rest of the book explains it!

Good so far, I want to know the whys and jump ahead so that’s a good sign.

Oh dear, literally at the start and some one has said their loved one had been beaten by cancer…. I hate this concept. Cancer is not a battle that you fight. Your cells do something weird, if your lucky you or someone else notices, treatment may or not be offered. You decide if the treatment will be worth trying. If you try treatment sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t, You don’t win or lose it’s life.

Already I love this book, nothing better than a good up front trigger warning. I wish all books had this. The books I read as a young teen, makes my hair curl. We have warnings for films I wish all books gave you some information at the start of areas they cover.

I a, struggling to put this book down. I love a romance with two Points Of View. 💚

The ending bit is annoying me, it’s annoying. Also very annoyed at the incorrect advice on what to do with concussion. I know it’s fiction but don’t tell people the wrong advice, I mean the least you can do is see it as a chance to give information to people. There should be a duty of care, think this takes at least a ⭐️off so far. Feels like there was a rushing of the bit before the end.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m a bit slow. I’ve only just realised my favourite type of books are when you get the story from the point of view of more than one person, preferably two. I just find it so more satisfying. So far I’m loving this book. First one from this author. I am sad to read they died very recently and that is adding a poignancy to the book. I’m glad I am reading it though.

I’m enjoying this book, although I often have no idea if what’s happening is a dream. Also the characters lack of telling each other very important things, whilst explained, is exacerbating for someone who lives their life by leaking information.

Ok so far narrator, who is the author is good. Pretty bleak so far and very male focused. This feels appropriate for a book written about grief, by a man. I’m not sure how much I can listen to each day, will see.

Ok I lied, definitely too scary before bed! 🫣🫣😱😱

So far so good, spooky and funny not terrifying.

Well I’m enjoying it so far. I’m pretty sure it’s the first time I’ve read a book that details period pain. It’s shocking really when half the population experience it for most of their lives that it’s not written about more!

I am struggling to connect, no idea why. Looking at other reviews I wish I had the audio book now.

Ok there is a play list at the start that is concerning, at least it includes Nina Simone so 🤞🤞

Just watched How to marry a millionaire so noticed an error in who forgot their money whilst going shopping. Small error but not sure how a book like this could make such an error. Hopefully they will sort before publication.

Really helpful, detailed description of basic screening tools which are broken down. Also a helpful description of an assessment which I think whilst anxiety provoking could also be helpful to consider if you wanted to go ahead with an assessment and to prepare. These are not secret. Although I have just spent way too long pondering on how long my description of brushing my teeth is…..🦷

There is talk about low calorie intake and body image issues. Also trigger warnings about cancer through out and death.

Annoying at the moment, talking about the pregnancy. Having blue cheese even the day before the birth is not safe, it’s listeria that you are avoiding and I’m thinking you don’t want to give birth through food poisoning. Also a new born with food poisoning is not a good idea!

Really significant triggers, constant talk about food and what sounds like binge eating but is probably more comfort eating. Also mention of bulimia and describes the only risk being to teeth, not that it can be fatal. I’m hoping this will change latter. Lots of body image discussion and lots of talk about healthy and unhealthy food. Think anyone who has had an eating disorder would struggle with this book.

Good, well explained so far. Inclusive language, definitely for clinicians not a self help book.

Ok so they are saying have fun, don’t be too serious but then say they got their son to practice holding a pencil the “right” way before they went to school and ruined their writing and drawing…. I’m very confused. So far this is not going well and I’m almost a 1/4 through the book. Nothing about art so far and some shouty capitals…

Ok currently making no sense, the book talks about someone who picks up a new creative outlet saying they want to experience learning something new, something they can’t do. Then it talks about them winning an award for that…. To me that is not making sense. I’m going to keep reading.

I was careful before I requested this ARC, I don’t like requesting books for work unless I’m pretty sure they will be worth my while. I went to the authors website and downloaded some of the resources. They seemed very good so I requested the book. So far so good so 🤞it will be worth a read.
