I think this book would be a very good read over the year, rather than in a one and done. Really loving the drawings.

God I love this series. Although significant trigger warning as always is needed.

One of the best descriptions of trauma I’ve read, especially helpful metaphor

Enjoying the start emphasising self care and giving actual details on how to do that

It’s taken until page 55 to engage me but it has so will see if it maintains it. Not been keen to read until now.

There are beautiful drawings of scenery which is nice

It’s a shame there are no photos, not on the electronic version anyway. I’m checking to see what the plants look like in other books.

I’m enjoying it, a bit surprised by the potential wedding. I should not have been seeing as it’s in the title! It is in the title so I don’t think it’s a spoiler.

It’s Easter, I will have a four day weekend. This is the sixth ARC, what could possibly go wrong. I could not resist this book. I’ve really enjoyed the author’s last book and this looks perfect to read over a long weekend.

Some mention of homophobia and a reference to a sexual assault so potentially a trigger for people.

The I’m lucky I’m with the love of my life sentence seems to be repeating too much. I’m hoping it will settle soon.

Trigger warning a story that includes a rape

So far easy to read, nothing groundbreaking but information brought together with some debate on scientific evidence.

Oh dear, three stories in and I am completely and utterly in love. This book, so far is so well written, the three stories whilst short are so elaborately creative with an obviously similar tone it is like reading a book set in one magical universe. Some darker than others, I think or that might just be my perspective. I would struggle to read more than two or even one story a day. This is a book to savour.

Whilst reading this book I’m excited that the author mentions a shop in the city I’m visiting. Then I look up her details, you could say I laughed when I realised she does foraging classes in the town 5 miles from where I live!

Currently the characters are annoying the hell out of me but hopefully they will settle. Story is a bit close to home so that’s probably not helpful. I am reading it quickly.

I’m loving this book. The characters feel fully rounded and complex, well the main two, the rest no so much. Actually everyone apart from the main characters are a bit vapid and twatty but I’m happy as long as the main characters are good.
It’s not making me want to go to Paris, at all!

I’m enjoying it but are her eyes:-
1. Rich black brown like an espresso
2. Muddy Green brown
3. Muddy brown ?
If this is not an intentional theme I’m going to be annoyed because it’s not helping me visualise the character
I mean they can be hazel and look green at times then brown but I don’t think they can go all the way to an espresso colour or and I thinking too much!

There is no information on the translator in the book. Sentences talk on one subject then the next sentence talks about food.

I don’t think I can finish this book! I love books that are set in one language then translated. It’s almost like you are reading a book that someone other than the author is reading to you, with their own reflections that you can see laid over the original book. This feels like a word for word translation. I might be wrong but reading it is a struggle.

Oh dear. I might be in trouble, I’m on the first page and there are sentences that end in a ? Then the next sentence starts without a capital letter. I’m hoping that the final version will be corrected. My English is far from perfect, see the above, and I can so hear my English teachers disapproval so hopefully this will be mended by publication date. 🤞
