I like this one…

It’s better written than the first one, and for like the first half it kept me interested. However, where I’m at right now I’m restless because NOTHING’s happening and I’m just getting previous scenarios and conversations mixed into a blender and handed to me in a different ”form”. It’s so repetitive.

I love the darkness of this book. How Evanders infatuation with Laurie is described in fantasies about causing him harm. Possibly because Evander doesn’t know what sexual intimacy is?
Evander has been a difficult character for me to get to know, but I’m starting to see him for what he is now and I really appreciate him.

So far it feels like reading bad fanfiction. A bit further down the line I’ve started to like Brandons parts but I agree with reviews saying Nikolai feels like a caricature of a bad guy. It’s very cringey.
