My first impression: philosophically dense, relentlessly thought-provoking — almost too brilliant for my heart.
As By Night in Chile unfolds as a fevered monologue, Bolano binds literature, faith, and complicity into a single moral reckoning — one that begins, memorably, with “the storm of shit” and never really lets up. 🤔

I’m absolutely loving this book so far. Every insight feels genuinely new, which makes it especially interesting and rewarding to read. I keep telling myself I’ll just read one more page, and then somehow an hour goes by. No complaints at all—highly recommended.

Lots of “masterpieces” on the subj are all over the place as if they’ve been copy-pasted: eat, sleep, work, etc. Ahem, hopefully this piece will make a slightest sense to me.
