I’ve been a fan of her metaphors and the way the writing flows from character pov to character pov. I also like what it has to say about the politics at that time and how people who seem progressive really aren’t. How nobody is actually as perfect as they let on

Despite nothing major happening, I’m enjoying this read. I think it’s a slow burn and though told in third person I enjoy the way it flows from character to character telling each’s pov as the story progresses. It’s almost like water and it never loses pacing. I’m really a fan of the writing style if not of anything else

It’s a really easy read so far. Great characterization and I really enjoy Ng’s writing style.

So was the origin story told by Marcel about the antagonists a lie? I was kinda digging the banshee snake lady. Oh well I guess the actual explanation for the antagonists makes sense.
I’m still enjoying this book! The few humorous parts have made me literally LOL more than any other book. Felicity’s fight with Simon using her Sight was so awesome. Such fun use of powers here
