So far so good. Though the author is definitely influenced by Freudian philosophy and comes from a secular background the book does have an interesting perspective.

This book! I don’t care how good or bad you think your relationship is with your mother everyone needs to read this book!! Not only does it go through different types of parents, and how that can affect you throughout life and adulthood, but it also goes through how to work on some sort of resolution and reconciliation with your mom even if it means a limited form. Highly recommended for all!!
