I am absolutely loving this book, the vibes are hitting 4 ⭐️ at least.

Blake, "I'm not like other girls, I'm one of the guys," is not a badass, she's just bad.
Theo, "how dare you bet her virginity," wins the bet and attempts to pay Blake for sex??
And I'M SORRY but how many times will every damn character mention that Theo changed when he first saw Blake in a dress as teenagers?? Ffs we get it!

Honestly, I've been struggling to finish this for months, but its an ebook so I can't resell it so I might as well keep reading it. Just that Blake and Theo are kind of boring as hell?

At this stage (end of chapter 7), I'm finding that Frankl is overly focused on religiosity as a fundamental aspect for psychotherapy, particularly monotheistic religion. I'm not sure about the cultural responsivity to religions beyond Christianity, and even the dismissal of spiritualism, which I find more encompassing than religiosity, which suggests organised religions. Hopefully the answers are yet to come.

"If you want people to have faith and belief in God, ... [you] must, in the first place, portray your God believably - and you must act credibly yourself." pp. 18.

There is immense beauty in hearing from a survivor of the holocaust reflecting upon his deepened religiosity and faith in his God.
