I read a lot over spring break but just kinda failed to update. Anyways, I am actually really interested in the effects of Henry's curse and how people really just see what they want to see. I really think that Addie and Henry make such an adorable couple and I love the way that he just adores everything she does. It's also nice to see Henry's character development and learn more about him. Loving this book!!!

This is one of those books that I like but it is incredibly depressing. I do not particularly enjoy reading sad books but I know that this is a true story. People need to be educated in these kinds of things and it is nice to hear the perspective of someone who was actually in the camps. It is just so awful that this happens to people. It is also nice that he retells it from his perspective as a child. So bittersweet.

Poor Addie!!! I feel so awful for what she has gone through. The shadow guy is a huge jerk and she does not deserve this. I hope things get better!!

So... Henry. A new character with a new story and new narrative for me to follow. I am intrigued, no doubt about that. I wonder if Henry will be able to remember Addie or if they will have some sort of little romance thing. I feel bad for Addie and Henry. ALSO, why is the darkness telling Addie to be its love? That's an interesting plot. Lastly I like how it said "and Henry disappears" a lot. What's with that?

I am still loving the story. I feel like the details about Addie and James meeting are a bit peculiar, why did she go into so much detail about their meeting? Does James have any more relevance? Also she talks about a lot of things that she "contributed to the world" therefore she is leaving an impact despite the Gods curse. So that's weird. I look forward to seeing the progression of the story and Addie then and now

I feel both upset at Adeline and sorry for her. It's nice to know how she became immortal but it also makes me upset that she chose to be immortal. Everyone knows immortality isn't all it's cracked up to be, but she chose it. I would also be really upset if I made this deal and my family didn't remember me but that's also kind of her bad. Looking forward to reading more! (I think)

These chapters felt much more hopeful than the others I've read so far. I still love the style of the book and find it quite sweet that he is recounting his own stories in association with his daughters. I am also very curious, why did he have a knife in New York? What a cliffhanger. (Not really a cliffhanger but I'm intrigued)

This book seems very complex, and not in the way of literacy and complex wording but mostly by the way of concepts within the book. It's a very philosophical book (kinda duh) that has a lot of deep topics in each chapter. It's interesting and I do find myself wondering how the book will end since it's not really one storyline.

The first chapter sort of confused me. I felt like it threw me into an ocean of plot lines that I was going to have to learn about later. It was interesting honestly. I like the way the book is written so far, especially with the descriptions of Addie's past. I appreciate the imagery and I feel like I am really inside the book, as if watching a movie. I am looking forward to learning more about Addie and her story.

This book is incredibly confusing. Not in a bad way! I love the style, but I think that the concept of "Dragoning" is a bit difficult to understand and I'm having some difficulty figuring out of "Dragoning" and some of the events that are being talked about actually happened or not. It's hard to tell fact from fiction. But otherwise I like the writing and use of language and (slowly developing) plot.

The beginning of this book is promising. I find myself wondering what happened to Alex's mother when she was 4. I also want to do my own research on the concept of "dragoning" because due to all the genuine accounts from scientists and the studies that have been done that the author mentioned. I am very curious about the progression of the book.

I'm FREAKING OUT! It's the middle of the battle, Ben left, Emara is dead, people are scared, people are dying, and its so sad and scary! I know another person is going to die and it's going to make me cry. I just have a feeling something really awful is gonna happen. Or everything will be ok and it'll be just fine... I doubt it though. Anyways, excited to read the end! Ahhhhhhh!

Spoiler Alert!!!!! This section was so sad! I almost cried when Emara died. And when they did the funeral. And when they reminisced about her life. I was so so sad! The main conflict is about to start and I am absolutely terrified, especially since Emara died, now it gives me the idea that more of them will die. Also since Amity is dying she will probably die during battle. I have to read this at home so I don't cry.

I am so excited that the whole village was having a party but throughout the past few chapters I have had a feeling of dread because usually when things start to go right, something really bad happens. I stopped on this page for fear of the bad things that are about to happen. I am excited to be nearing the climax of the book!

I am glad that everyone turned out ok after the fire. The characters are developing really well and I feel like each one has very unique pasts and stories to tell, I am currently the most interested in Ben because she seems to be having a lot of issues, but her friendship with Emara is a nice touch. I am enjoying how it is sort of peaceful now, it is a nice break from the usual chaos.

I am really enjoying the tension between Onna and the Kindlings, it is adding a lot to the plot and really adds humanity to her character. It seems she is a character with a lot of tension since she also fights with Tana a lot. The relationships are also developing a lot between the Kindlings and the tension right now is really heightened. I like how they brought back the plot about the cloak that Emara stole.

I have made it much farther into the book and so far I am really enthralled. I appreciate the LGBT representation from a few of the characters and the story seems to be developing quite nicely. Most of the main characters have already had some character development and I am looking forward to seeing where the story goes and how their bonds and relationships change as they go on this mission together.

The speed of the book is finally starting to pick up and I feel myself getting more enthralled in the book. I usually read a bit quicker when I am absorbed in a book so I read a bit faster than usual, or a bit more than the past 2 times, today. There are a few new characters being introduced and I like how the characters that were previously introduced are developing more personality and general character development

I feel as though the book is finally starting to go somewhere. I have made it to chapter 2 and the person who I think is the second main character just entered the story. She seems to have a complex in which she wants to stay more to herself and seems like a person who has lost a lot. I am excited to get to the actual plotline of the story which I think is surrounding the raiders that are impacting the nearby towns.

So far I am sort of uncertain about how I feel about this book. I am curious about who is talking (or writing) this chapter and who the perspective is from. I do not know too much about the main characters so far but I know about one character who seems defeated with the state of their life.
