I'm annoyed that Krakauer is trying to argue with people that McCandless wasn't wrong in his actions. How do you look at the outcome of his story and then say, "his actions were NOT questionable in any way?"

Krakauer is really making that stretch about his father and Chris's. Stick to Mr. McCandless and this book would be 20 pages shorter and probably just as good.

This book is very long. It’s good, I am just really having a hard time with it and I don’t know why. I kind of think it’s because nothing is really happening. They’re going through hell, but nothing is really coming from any of their actions. They haven’t gotten any closer to their goal, and it’s kind of starting to lose me.

On the back of the cover it says this book falls into the genre of “Fantasy & Horror” and I thought that made no sense. I understand it now.

This book has just become a list of all the women Val Kilmer has met. Jesus Christ man I care about YOU not all these women. If I wanted to learn about them, I’d read their autobiographies.
