What does eloquent mean?

I predict in Carry On that the mage will randomly appear and talk to Simon.

The main character is pretty normal; he's got a little magic in him, but that's it

I didn't read any words that I didn't understand. :)

The protagonist in my book is Simon.

The setting of my book is a university for individuals with magical powers, called Watford University.

In the book, Carry On, Simon likes the sour cherry scones. For example, the book says, "I just can't pass the scones up if they're there. They're so soft and light and a little bit salty. Sometimes I dream about them."
