5 TYPES OF CONFLICT:
The type of conflict in the Maze Runner is character versus society. In the story the protagonist, Thomas, is trapped in an experiment set up by a group of scientists from the government organization W.I.C.K.E.D. This shows that the conflict is character versus society because society, the government, has forced Thomas into the Maze, threatening his life & the lives of everyone near him.

MAKE PREDICTIONS
I don't have many PREDICTIONS for this book, but one is that the kids are going to escape the maze through the recently discovered griever hole. I think this because escaping has been their main goal of the book and the griever hole is a new revelation this late into the book. I think that the climax will actually take place in the griever hole, one final fight between grievers and kids for freedom.

POINT OF VIEW: The point of view of my book is 3rd person ominous. I know this because the book jumps around whose story it's narrating, from Jason to Leo, and always knows the character's thoughts. This is shown on page 439,"Wow, Jason thought. No wonder he felt sore and hungry." This quote is just one of the many examples of the narrator knowing what a character is thinking.

4/27 GENRE
The genre of my book is fantasy. I know this because the book has lots of gods and demigods, which aren't real. Also, there's different animals in this book that aren't real, like dragons and giants. I also know this because the story has fake places in it. There's a few real places like Earth, but places like Camp Half-Blood that are guarded by a magical barrier aren't real. This book's genre is fantasy.

4/17 PROTAGONIST:
The protagonist in my book so far is Hazel. Hazel is a Roman demigod, who's at least 80 years old as shown on page 5 ,"...Hazel's first boyfriend back in 1942." She is on a quest with the rest of the ARGO II crew to make it home with the statue of Athena to stop camp Jupiter & camp Half-Blood from going to war. When we left off she was in a magical mist with a goddess who has not yet been named.

SUMMARY:
So far, Tucker Pierce is trying to stop a war between SYLO and the Retros. Things have just turned up a notch when SYLO introduced a new, devastating device to take over people's minds. As shown on page 242, "The signal didn't just tell them what to do; it became their only thought." Now, Tucker has to shut down the broadcast that, when played, will use the device to control every mind on earth at once.

Daniel Cruz is on page 136 of 232 of The Abduction (Theodore Boone, #2)
In my book the incident that started it all is when April Finnemore disappeared. So far they believe that it was a recently escaped convict who is also her uncle. This event snowballed into manhunts and trials. On page one it says,"The abduction of April Finnemore took place in the dead of night...." This shows that they do not know where April was taken & need to go to these measures to figure it out.

In this book there is a connection between the text and myself. This connection is on page 164,"When the man came out of the house, he took the golf gloves off and put them in his golf bag...." This connects to me because I play golf and also own a pair of golf gloves that I do put in my golf bag whenever I finish playing.

In my book the main character Theo shows his interest in law through his words. This is shown on page 31 when he asked "How long will the trial last?" He also shows this same love for law because he bikes to the courthouse sometimes in the mornings to talk to the head judge.

In my book the main character Tris is dynamic and Eric is static. Tris is dynamic because throughout the book she goes through major character development. She says "I am not Abnegation. I am not Dauntless. I am Divergent." This shows that she has finally found herself. Eric is static because the entire book he stays as the heartless Dauntless antagonist and stays cruel throughout the entire book.

In my book the conflict is character vs society. Tris is fighting the traitorous Dauntless followers, and her ex friend Eric. On page 192, "My orders are to take only two of you back to Erudite,' says Eric... 'among you will be least useful to us." This shows Eric and the other traitors trying to capture two of the Dauntless and kill the rest. This is character vs society because Tris is against a whole group

I think that Nile is going to turn on Tris for killing Will and for being a Dauntless. "... Will ran after me and I killed him." Will was a friend of many in the Candors were friends with Will and all hate the Dauntless faction. I assume Nile is the most angered from this because he has been making sure that it was definitely her who did it for the past couple chapters.

Daniel Cruz is finished with All American Boys
POV: Rashaad's story is told from the 1st person. "I ran to the bathroom with my duffel bag full of clothes to change out of everything green." This shows that Rashaad is talking about all of the events in the book from the way he sees it, even showing his emotions and explaining his actions in his head.

PROTAGONIST: The main protagonist is Rashad. He's a 17 year old in high school & of African American descent. He's in a misunderstanding of him stealing chips. "It didn't matter what Rashad said next-that it was an accident, that he wasn't stealing-the cop just kept on pummeling him over and over." In the story right now he's very upset & angered by the police attacking him for a crime he is falsely accused of.

Daniel Cruz is finished with The Maze Cutter (The Maze Cutter, #1)
GENRE: This is a Dystopian and Science Fiction
This book is a dystopian science fiction action book. I know it is a science fiction because of the world it's set in. It's a futuristic world with flying boats & laser weapons. This book is also Dystopian because this takes place in an imaginary society where there are unjust rules. Finally, I know this is an action fiction because there is fighting and it's not real.

I love this book. It I full of action and plot twists at every chapter. By far my favorite part of the book is the fact that the only remaining character from the original trilogy is also my favorite character.

This book so far is very exciting and U have loved the fact that my favorite character Frypan from the main series is still alive 70 years later.
