In the Sunrise on the Reaping the main character's name is Haymitch. It begins in district 12, where Haymitch lashes out at a guard and is sent to the hunger games. While there he meets many people. None of them last very long by his side in the arena. He finally gets to his final opponent, Silka. She is highly more trained than Haymitch. But, when all seems lost Haymitch stabs her in the eye, winning the games.

In my book there are many examples of times when I was able to visualize. One of these is on page 215," ... packet of coin-sized black tablets...." this makes me think of a picture in my head of a small bag filled with lots of black medicine that look like Tums. Other examples of this include when Haymitch, the main character, first comes out of the tube and observes the arena for the first time.

In this book there is a connection between the text and myself. This connection is on page 164,"When the man came out of the house, he took the golf gloves off and put them in his golf bag...." This connects to me because I play golf and also own a pair of golf gloves that I do put in my golf bag whenever I finish playing.

In my book the main character Theo shows his interest in law through his words. This is shown on page 31 when he asked "How long will the trial last?" He also shows this same love for law because he bikes to the courthouse sometimes in the mornings to talk to the head judge.

The antagonist of this book is Haymitch. His two main goals are to survive the Hunger Games and if he does die then do so quickly. He is a tribute from district twelve who was reaped when he tried to protect his girl from getting hit by a peacekeeper.

In my book the main character Tris is dynamic and Eric is static. Tris is dynamic because throughout the book she goes through major character development. She says "I am not Abnegation. I am not Dauntless. I am Divergent." This shows that she has finally found herself. Eric is static because the entire book he stays as the heartless Dauntless antagonist and stays cruel throughout the entire book.

In my book the conflict is character vs society. Tris is fighting the traitorous Dauntless followers, and her ex friend Eric. On page 192, "My orders are to take only two of you back to Erudite,' says Eric... 'among you will be least useful to us." This shows Eric and the other traitors trying to capture two of the Dauntless and kill the rest. This is character vs society because Tris is against a whole group

I think that Nile is going to turn on Tris for killing Will and for being a Dauntless. "... Will ran after me and I killed him." Will was a friend of many in the Candors were friends with Will and all hate the Dauntless faction. I assume Nile is the most angered from this because he has been making sure that it was definitely her who did it for the past couple chapters.

POV: Rashaad's story is told from the 1st person. "I ran to the bathroom with my duffel bag full of clothes to change out of everything green." This shows that Rashaad is talking about all of the events in the book from the way he sees it, even showing his emotions and explaining his actions in his head.

PROTAGONIST: The main protagonist is Rashad. He's a 17 year old in high school & of African American descent. He's in a misunderstanding of him stealing chips. "It didn't matter what Rashad said next-that it was an accident, that he wasn't stealing-the cop just kept on pummeling him over and over." In the story right now he's very upset & angered by the police attacking him for a crime he is falsely accused of.

SETTING: This book takes place in a city called Springfield in the USA. This book's theme is realistic fiction. In this book the setting is very important because all of the characters go to the main school and one of the side characters graffiti all the popular spots in town.

GENRE: This is a Dystopian and Science Fiction
This book is a dystopian science fiction action book. I know it is a science fiction because of the world it's set in. It's a futuristic world with flying boats & laser weapons. This book is also Dystopian because this takes place in an imaginary society where there are unjust rules. Finally, I know this is an action fiction because there is fighting and it's not real.

I love this book. It I full of action and plot twists at every chapter. By far my favorite part of the book is the fact that the only remaining character from the original trilogy is also my favorite character.

This book so far is very exciting and U have loved the fact that my favorite character Frypan from the main series is still alive 70 years later.
