Audience and Purpose: The audience and purpose of this book is to show teenage girls the pressure and challenges come with being famous, along with outrageous expectations. The story is written in first person coming from a famous teenager. Though Sam is a celebrity she's extremely relatable as she struggles with anxiety,presure,stress common in teenage girls. The author shows teenagers no one's life is perfect.

CONFLICT:The major conflict in this book right now is character vs society.Samantha is really famous because she saved the president last year and she can't catch a break from the outrageous paparazzi.Samantha says on pg.86,"I just can't get away from the paparazzi.I hate how society is nowadays and how I can't even be a normal teenager."This evidence shows Samantha's view on society,and problems it has created.

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS:Theresa is the main side character.Samantha is a regular teen girl who's struggling at home. Theresa who's Samantha's caretaker(because her parents are never home)is"just like a second mom". Samantha says,"Theresa is literally my second mom because my real mom is never home.It also feels like she's my first mom at times."(p.25) This evidence shows Theresa's impact on Samantha's life.

CHARACTERIZATION: Melody has a very severe case of cerebral palsy so she can't talk or move on her own. Though she can't talk or move she's always thinking big and has so much to say. Page 38 Melody says to herself,"If only I could talk or move, I have so much to say but I'm trapped inside my own body." This evidence shows how she feels about having cerebral palsy and how it truly impacts her life.

During the past six weeks I completed reading the book "Out of my Heart". This book is based off a girl named Jenny who has cerebral palsy and goes to her first summer camp for kids like her. At the camp she meets many new friends but still has to overcome her condition. In the end she finally aspects herself and learns to overcome all of her challenges.

INCITING INCIDENT: The inciting incident in my book is when Melody finds out about the summer camp for kids like her. She was really becoming sad and a bit jealousy of the kids in her class because they all get to go to summer camps. She wasn't accepted into the regular summer camps s she did research and found out about the special camp for kids like her. Now her summer wish/dream comes true!!!

STORY ARCHETYPES:I think this book is a rebirth. Belly was at first set on marrying Jeremiah but grew her feeling kept growing for Conrad so she married him. This shows a change in mindset and in her option for both boys. Belly definitely changed in ways no one ever expected.

SUMMARY:The main characters are Belly,Jeremiah,Steven and Conrad. Belly likes Conrad but he's growing and not ready for a relationship though he still likes Belly. Jeremiah also likes Belly so they're dating. Belly is stuck because she's going to marry Jeremiah but still loves Conrad.

VISUALIZE: I can visualize the feelings that are going on in Belly's mind. She deeply misses Susana and keeps replaying their memories together. On page 136 Belly says,"I miss her so much because I have so much to say so I just replay our memories together." This shows how Belly is visualizing in her head.

TEXT TO SELF: This book reminds me of the time when my great grandma died and my whole family grieved in different ways. On page 94 Belly says,"Everyone tried to move on with their life but no one was themselves. Jeremiah and Steven both visited her grave,Mom wrote about Susana, but me and Conrad didn't know how to move on." This shows how different everyone grieves.

CHARACTERIZATION: The author shows how Belly misses Susana by showing her thoughts and what she thinks. On page 34, Belly says,"If only Susana was still alive. I cry every night because I miss her." What this tells us about Belly is how she really is heartbroken,grieving in pain.

ANTAGNIST: I think that the antagonist in this story is Belly. I think this because on page 2 Belly says,"I wasn't in Cousins. Conrad and I weren't together,and Susannah was dead. Nothing will ever be the same again." This shows Belly is making the worst out of her situation by thinking on the bad side of things and having a negative perspective of her life right now. This evidence shows Belly is the antagonist.

"STATIC VS. DYNAMIC: Emmeline Berryman is a dynamic character because she changes after she moved away from the city. She is not very used to farm life. On page 82 she says, "I'm not used to this at all! I'm going to just learn to adapt to farm life better." This proves that Emmeline Berryman is a dynamic character because she changed when she faced this challenge.

The main conflict in the book right now is Louisa is worried about Emmeline Berryman. On page 67 Louisa says, "No! We just can't leave Emmeline Berryman here like this. What if she freezes?" This proves that Louisa is worried about Emmeline Berryman.

Predictions: One prediction I had when I was reading this book was that Donna was going to get arrested. On page 206 it says,"Last
night he arrested a suspect in the vandalism at the construction site." (they are talking about Donna on this page) This proves that Donna got arrested and my prediction I made early was correct.

Point of view: This story is written through third person point of view. On page 158 it says,"He decided to do some reading." Third person narrative uses words like "He" or "She". This shows that this story is written through a third person narrative point of view.

protagonist: The protagonist is Roy. He is the main character in this story. This story is written through third person point of view. On page 158 it says,"He decided to do some reading." Third person narrative uses words like "He" or "She". This shows that Roy's the main character.

The story takes place in modern day Florida. I inferred that this is modern day Florida because they've talked about Jordans and Reeboks shoe brands that didn't exist 20 years ago. On page 14 it says,"They're Reeboks", Roy squeaked. This is how I know it's modern day. On page 17 it says,"His mother assured Roy that he would love Florida".

In my poison this book is realistic fiction. I feel this way because most of the stuff happening wouldn't really happen in real life but it still could happen. They call someone cowgirl and that could happen but would't likely happen.

I really enjoyed reading this book, Hoot. The book really moves my options in the world. Lastly the book changed the way I view my community.

Im really enjoying reading Hoot because its really intresting. The book makes think about my life. Its a really realatable book. The book also very describtive. Finally the book makes me feel like Im there.
