CHARACTERIZATION: Melody has a very severe case of cerebral palsy so she can't talk or move on her own. Though she can't talk or move she's always thinking big and has so much to say. Page 38 Melody says to herself,"If only I could talk or move, I have so much to say but I'm trapped inside my own body." This evidence shows how she feels about having cerebral palsy and how it truly impacts her life.
