VISUALIZE: The Antagonist attacks the store employees for not paying attention. On page 39 It says," They're in the next aisle over by the color-copy paper. The manager said." This describes the store and what he wants and because those are so familiar to me it is easy to picture a scene in a store with aisles where the Antagonist wants a three ring binder.

TEXT TO TEXT: Nerds is like a Spy Ski School. A group of young intelligent kids goes and thwarts a villain's plans. However this book is different because it is not as straightforward. It did not list the villain's name until about 40 pages in.

CHARACTERIZATION: Ben is a caring and well rounded person. In the book multiple times he reflects how he treats people and strives to do better. Ben thinks about Erica and how he said goodbye and he wishes he could change it. When he reunites with Erica he hugs her showing that he cares for her.

ANTAGONIST: The antagonist is Rufus Shang. He is developing a mine in Africa. Ben our main character is trying to blow it up to stop the mine. Murray Hill is also an antagonist. He is Ben's arch nemesis but they got trapped in Africa and have to save it together. While they are working together, Murray makes Ben's job a lot harder.

STATIC VS DYNAMIC: Ben Ripley is a Dynamic character. He hasn't changed since the start of the book. In the scene where he is on the run from Shang's men he does change by showing his knowledge, but in the book they state that he has always known the knowledge. Although, he has had this knowledge the entire book he is changing by showing the knowledge during the conflict.

CONFLICT: The conflict is character vs character and character vs society. Ben Ripley is currently in a scene where everyone is against everyone. He was ambushed by Murray Hill. Who was going to deliver Ben to the Shang's house. Then the principal of Ben's Espionage school, who was on Murray's side double crossed Murray. Now Murray and Ben are getting delivered together to the Shang's house.

CONFLICT: The conflict is character vs character and character vs society. Ben Ripley is currently in a scene where everyone is against everyone. He was ambushed by Murray Hill. Who was going to deliver him to the Shangs. Then the principal who was on Murray's side double crossed Murray. Now Murray and Ben are getting delivered together to the shang's house.

PREDICTION: Ben Ripley is assigned on a mission without his girlfriend who is an accomplished spy. I predict that Erica, his girlfriend will secretly stowaway on the mission to join it. On page 44 Erica tries to sneak a tracker in Ben's suitcase. That shows that she is trying to follow Ben on the mission.

Point of View: Apollo is telling the story from the first person point of view. I know this because he uses words like I and my. On page 181 it says," I felt hollow, silly, ashamed for myself.". This shows that Apollo is telling the story.

Protagonist: The protagonist is Apollo, the Greek god of prophecy, music, medicine and many other things. He is taking the figure of a scrawny 16 year old as a punishment by Zeus. Apollo is very important in the story because he has been in every scene. I know this because he has been mentioned in every scene.

SETTING: The setting is Percy Jackson's apartment in New York city during the 2000s. The scene is Apollo and Meg getting cleaned up and recharging at the apartment. They are getting cleaned up from when Apollo got beat up and they are preparing for their journey to Camp Half-Blood.

GENRE: This book is both mythology and adventure. The genre is mythology, because it includes Greek gods,monsters,and demigods. It is also an adventure because the characters go on an adventure as the climax.

The God Apollo gets turned into human form and has to help a demigod to return to God form. Apollo gets claimed by a Demigod named Meg and they travel to Percy Jackson's House where they prepare for their journey to Camp Half-Blood.
