INCITING INCIDENT: The inciting incident that happens in The Tenant starts off with Blake losing his job. With his fiance and him sharing an expensive apartment with lots of extra space, the only options to keep the house is for Krista to either sell her engagement ring or for the two to have someone move into their extra bedroom. Except, everyone who want the room is crazy. That's when they meet Whitney.

ARCHETYPES: In the book series "Burn for Burn", I think the archetype that best fits the plot of the story is Tragedy. I think this because 3 innocent girls go out seeking revenge not meaning to actually hurt anyone in the long term. When Reeve ends up with a broken leg, the school gym burns down, and Rennie is killed, they realize that it's too late to back out. There is no happy ending in this story, it's all sad.

SUMMARY: The main characters of this book are Lillia Cho, Kat DeBrassio, and Mary Zane. These three girls are trying to get revenge on their ex-friends. They live on Jar Island, a very deserted island where when there aren't any tourists, it is almost empty. Lillia is wants to get revenge on Alex for taking advantage of her sister. Kat wants revenge on Rennie, and Mary wants to hurt Reeve like he hurt her.

VISUALIZE: One scene from my book that made me feel like I was actually in the scene was when Holiday and Linden were getting ice cream together and discussing the incident that happened after the party. I could hear them talking and I felt like I was there, siting at the table with them on the patio of the ice cream place.

TEXT TO SELF: A scene in this book where Linden has to lie to his friends to pretend he is rich like them when he isn't reminds me of when I make up a lie to seem cool but then it trails into another lie and then it turns into a lot more lies and then eventually my whole life is a lie and I can't keep up with it.

CHARACTERIZATION: In this book, Mallory feels attracted to Nolan, but she denies it. She doesn't think she can handle a relationship because she has too many responsibilities, such as taking care of her mother, taking care of her sisters, and playing chess. She clearly likes Nolan, but won't admit it to him or even to herself.

ANTAGONIST: There isn't really an antagonist in this story. Liz is fighting against her own emotions and the grief of losing her mother. She is fighting the idea that she likes Wes but she also likes Michael, neither of which really likes her. So, in a way, Liz is her own antagonist because she isn't fighting someone else, she is fighting her emotions.

STATIC VS DYNAMIC: Conor Harkness is a dynamic character. He changed a lot from how he used to be in the beginning of the story. In the beginning, he treated Maya like a child just because she is younger than him. Now Conor treats her like an adult woman. Conor also used to be so invested in work all of the time, now he actually takes breaks and gives himself time to rest.

Maya Killgore is going to Italy for her brother, Eli's wedding. She has been in love with his best friend (Conor) for a few years even though he is very toxic and has a girlfriend. When she arrives in Italy, she meets Avery, Conor's girlfriend. Even though she wants to hate Avery, she is so nice and amazing, how could they not be friends?

CONFLICT: The conflict in the book is Character vs. Character. I'm sure of this because Conrad and Jeremiah are fighting over who gets to be with Belly. Belly has been in love with Conrad for as long as she can remember, but now she is dating Jeremiah and they are getting married. The thing is, both Conrad and Jeremiah have been in love with Belly for almost forever.

PREDICTIONS: My prediction for what will happen next in this book is that after Belly and Jeremiah get married they will go back to college together even though their parents are mad at them for getting married.

POINT OF VIEW: The point of view of this book is first person. It says, "From the start, I knew it wasn't going to be easy to get Conrad to go. He wasn't the prom type of person.", which shows that it is in first person and that Belly knows that Conrad won't want to go with her, but she will try anyway.

Jeremiah likes Belly and confesses to her, but she still likes Conrad. She confesses to Conrad her feelings and they kiss. They are together now.

PROTAGONIST: The protagonist of The Summer I Turned Pretty is Isabel (Belly). She is Steven's little sister. Belly is the youngest of the family, family being her, Steven, her mother, Susannah, Jeremiah, and Conrad. For the longest time Belly has had a huge crush on Conrad, but he either never noticed or just doesn't like her back. Belly hates being the little sister because she doesn't get any respect from anyone.

Finny and Autumn discover their love for each other. The get together, but Finny still has to break up with Silvie. He drives to pick her up from the airport and they get into an argument. Silvie isn't wearing her seatbelt and she flies out of the car. She lands next to a puddle, unharmed. Finny gets out of the car and rests his hand next to her head, but he doesn't see the electrical wire in the puddle. He dies.

Autumn and Finny have been best friends since birth. But in high school, they slowly grew apart. Autumn has a new friend group and is no longer in "The Clique" but she is still friends with Sasha. Autumn and Jamie start dating and they have been together since freshman year. Their group is best friends and they are all weird, quirky kids.

SETTING - The setting of this book is Fairview, Connecticut in 2019. The final scene of the book takes place at Pip's college, where she is separating herself from all her family and friends to protect them. At the very end of the book, Ravi texts Pip, "Hey Sarge, remember me?" and leaves off on a cliffhanger. Max Hastings has been accused guilty and Pip and her family are safe.

The genre of this book is murder mystery. It's about a girl named Pip who is obsessed with solving mysteries and being a detective. When she finds a connection between her stalker and a local serial killer, she decides to investigate. Jason Bell is the DT killer, he tries to kidnap Pip but fails. Pip is angry and murders Jason with a hammer to the head, and now she has to cover it up so she doesn't go to jail.

Pip escaped Green Scene LTD and killed Jason, but it wasn't self defense. She called Ravi and she needs to blame someone for the murder so that she doesn't go to jail and ruin her life. Pip thinks of the perfect person to blame- Max Hastings.
