What I think, when I visualize the setting or smell of the book and where it takes place, I visualize how it smells like an old house, if you get it, then you would agree with me. I know an old house doesn't have a smell but its kinda another visualization for the person reading this. I also imagine the story in a big medieval castle and the time line in that. Page 24 and other pages tell us about the visualization.

SETTING: the setting of my book starts in Tatooie the plant with a big desert which obi wan is in hiding, and protecting Luke Skywalker which is Anikins son, and the story takes place right after order 66 which is how almost all the Jedi get wiped out, almost because some survive like obi wan. Later on in the story the setting changes to the plant Bellassa because a former Jedi lives there and Obi wan goes.

The inciting incident in Holes is when Stanley "steals" the shoes of a baseball player. Stanley is wrongfully said of stealing Clyde "Sweet Feet" Livingstons sneakers and is sentenced to Camp Green Lake, a detention center. This event forces him out of his normal life, sets the story, and makes how the book plays out. This is the inciting incident that impacted Holes and Stanley him self.

I think holes is a story about rebirth, because rebirth is said to have a unpredictable event, that the main character survives from and becomes a different person. While in holes, Stanly is forced into going to a camp called camp green lake, that builds character and makes them stronger, and this is told as a rebirth in a story Archetypes.

The main character Stanley Yelnats.
The story takes place in camp green lake which has no lake but just 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep holes which is because camp green lake is actually a camp for kids that got sent there to build character and behave when they go back home.
A big event in the holes is when Stanley finds tressure in camp green lake.
The book is also told by chronological narrative.

The visualization I saw when I read my book was a page when the boy was dumping water on to the dirt while he was so thirsty, and this was a visualization that I saw because I went though that before when I had to lose the water when I was very thirsty, because I had water in my backpack when I was hiking but it went bad, so I had to just dump it out and survive.

A connection I made with my book is a connection about my life.
The book holes is about a kid who goes to this town and has to dig a hole as a punishment, though I haven't been punished like that, I have dug holes in the sand at a beach, and from the cover you can see he digs holes in sand! This is a connection I made and chose because when I was little I loved to dig holes, not for punishment but for fun.

The character I picked is Orion.
He shows this through out the book with his resilient but cautious due to his serious heart condition.
He shows this by showing how lives with the constant threat of death and yearns to truly live, especially after forming an instant connection with Valentino. His past is shaped by the loss of his parents on September 11th adding to his introspection making him grow from that to now

The Antagonist of my book would have to be death cast because they told Valentino that he would die at midnight which he could not stop, so he had to deal with it, the reason I think the antagonist is death cast is because if death cast didnt call him, he wouldn't know he died, and maybe he wouldn't die.

In my book I think Jayson is a dynamic character because even though his mom left him for good, the book makes him over go through those hardships which makes him do what he does. When Jayson's mom leaves him, he tries to not get caught by the CPS, and as he grows up, he develops and becomes who he is, making the story liked, and he grows up to have friends and a sport he likes.

I think my book's conflict is Man vs Society because In the book it tells about how Jaysons mother leaves for good and tell's Jayson to not get caught by child protective services and to survive. In pg 12 it said "Jayson I wont be back, try to survive but don't get caught by child protective services" he shows it is man vs Society by stealing thing's in order to survive but not get caught by Child protective services

My predictions for the main character Jayson Barnes is that he will be found by child protective services because he was trying to survive but has done lots of risky things. He will be placed into a a new family, and will may be get kicked out. One of the reasons I think of this is because of the back, on the back it says how he may get found. In chapter 1, his mother passes away, leading him to fend for him self.

The point of view of the book "fast break" is told by a 3rd person omniscient. This is because the narrator know's what the character's are feeling, the narrator also know's what they are thinking in all the character's head's. ex: "coach Ronny was really disappointed at Jayson, but Jayson didn't notice" on page 47. Showing that the narrator know's what the character's are thinking. This is the point of view.

Jayson Barnes is the main character in the book "Fast Break". Jayson Barnes is a children/teen who has group of friends who love to play basket ball, some of his friends aren't the brightest or the smartest but he has a crew(his group of friends) This book from what I read so far, from what I think Jayson may be nice but lives in a bad area and his friends are sometimes bad friends/kids. He also grows up in America.

Diary of a wimpy kid is a diary of a kid who thinks he's in a movie.
His story is about him and his life. I think he lives in Plainview Massachusetts where the author Jeff Kinney lives. though it was never stated I think he lives there because of his author. since if the author lives there, I would think the book, diary of a wimpy kid would live there too. Diary wimp kid is about how the main charter lives his life.

Diary of a wimpy kid Is a genre of fiction
humor and young adult literature.
Its literature because it's a diary for young kids/adults and has lots of literature. It has lots of humor like jokes and funny things the charters do or say. Its also fiction because its not real! Although its a diary of a child its not a real story. These factors show how the book thought a diary its genre is fiction, humor and literature
