Interesting that the TV series black washed Isabella and Brigitte.

Isabella is described as being red haired, slim and white and yet in the Prime series she’s thick and black and dark haired. Brigitte is described in the book as having golden blonde hair and fair skin and yet in the prime series she’s dark and dark haired.

Seems…. Racist to me. Imagine if it had been the other way round…

The writing is so choppy and disjointed I just got to the part where someone named sophia dies and I have no idea who she is or how she’s related to adrian or raylan.

Holy shit I started this this afternoon and I haven’t been able to put it down since. Loving it. Cannot wait for the movie to come out

Just when I thought Juliette was gonna pull her head out of her ass and make a decision, Adam returns and she’s right back to uncertainty and bullshit. God she’s so irritating

So after I finished shatter me I immediately started this, and I’m now almost halfway through and nothing has happened except Juliette doing nothing to learn to control her powers, and her crying in a corner when she inevitably hurts her blander than bland bf because she’s too fucking bone headed to listen to the people telling her to learn to control herself she seems determined to be as weak as possible

Well this got insane quickly, and I’m loving it.

General consensus online is this better than shadow and bone but so far, despite my undying love for Nina Zenik, I’m not feeling it. It’s definitely really good, but I wouldn’t say better.
