Nice contrast to some of the stuff I have been wading through recently-funny!

I had to end because I got to a part where the interaction between the two main characters felt too close to a red flag for abuse-he shows up and confronts the other one about whether he was going out with someone else in a way that made me uncomfortable.

I am hooked on these books.

Dnf at 22%. These people seem so shallow. I can’t get interested in their love lives.

I’m leaving this book for now. I’ve been listening to it and one of the characters comes across as extremely whiny and I just can’t. It’s too bad, as the book seems pretty good and I think I would enjoy it with a different narrator or if I were eye-reading.

This book is off to a bad start for me because… December falls after hurricane season!

I’m liking the characters and writing so far, but the conflict is driven by mc1 telling off mc2 for coming in person to drop off a check because mc1’s son is around and both mcs understand that the son would think mc2 is a booty call. Personally if I were to drop off a check or were to have dropped off a check when I was more nubile and received that kind of reception it would feel more bizarre than offensive.

Dnfed. Too confused about the big cast of characters. Story wasn’t really moving forward.
