I can see why it gets the criticism it gets. There is definitely a lot to learn from this book and good advice for improving relationships, be them platonic or romantic, but I believe a lot of the advice falls flat due to the lack of time it gives to each of the letter the author receives. A lot of the issues people write about are more complicated for the reason to be simplified in a paragraph.
